Toro I received from JR six of these "100 Days" toros as a part of the 12 Monte cigars complimentary promotional bonus accompanying a box purchase of Monte cigars. I had very high expectations from these toros, and was hoping they would be close to the Platinum Series in providing the smoking pleasure. To my big disappointment, the taste and flavour of these "100 Days" toros was almost bordering bland, and, as such, I would not buy them at any price. In addition, these toros are advertised as medium strength, and, imho, they are right on the medium-full border, slightly leaning more towards the full than the medium strength. On the positive sides: the construction and burn were excellent, the ash held nicely, and the total smoking time was just above one hour. If you are are considering the choice between these newer "100 Days" and the Platinum Series, I would strongly recommend going with the Platinum Series. 3 5 1

Toro My normal smokes are in the $7-10 range (for 1 stick) but was able to try these in a sample pack for roughly $4/stick... WOW. The creamy, sweet leather from the Ecuadorian wrapper blends so well with the rich smoothness of the Nicaraguan binder and the Dominican tobacco in the filler adds some nice baking spice flavors that make this such a complex and rewarding smoke. Flawless construction and burn, and the flavors are blended to my exact pallette. Would I buy a box of these at regular price? Not normally, but if I did I'd certainly be pleased with the experience. I still enjoy my Fuente, Olivas & H Upmann go-tos at a lower price point but these are certainly a cut above. 5 5 1
Toro 3 of these come in a bulk sampler I purchased. I smoked a single, kind of, and am reluctant to smoke the others any time soon. The burn was poor in both evenness and staying lit. I had to toke repeatedly to get a draw and it canoed the first half. I know it only canoed the first half because i threw it out before I attempted to go further. The flavor was not good and I accredit some of that to the poor burn. A hard no thanks for me. Oh, i rated it a 5 star consistency because it consistently was terrible. 1 5 1
