Annuity I got these as a JR giveaway. The cold inhale is grassy and mossy. Some people like that flavor of cigar. I don’t. But I favs them a try and I’m grateful to JR Cigars for sending them to me. Dark wrapper. Mellow taste. I do not have a sophisticated enough taste to discuss the “chocolaty, leathery, early morning unicorn dew” flavors like the pro reviewers. I just know what I like. I can see how this would be a good tasting cigar, if this flavor is your preference. Burn was good. There were a few soft spots on the cigar. Others have complained of a hard draw, but the ones I tried had a nice draw, with ever so slight a resistance, which is good. 4 5 1
Annuity Absolutely ridiculous delays as I was requested numerous times to prove my age! Are You Kidding Me!!! When I called the number the woman whom answered had the people skills of a hungry lion Very Unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate-operative! Jim Coyne 2 5 1
Annuity I got this as part of the Iconic Brand Sampler. The flavor is fine, and it produces nice, thick smoke. The single cigar that I smoked definitely seemed more mild the medium-bodied. Construction and draw were both very good, but my overall impression was of blandness. A good cigar to smoke when you’re busy doing something else. I wouldn’t say no if I was given one, but I certainly wouldn’t pay full price for it. 4 5 1
Annuity The first time I tried these, a few years ago, they were great. Bought some more recently and found them to be tasteless and not very well constructed. Canoed and/or a tight draw on each one I smoked. No matter, they just weren’t very tasty anyway. 2 5 1
Annuity I bought these Banker Annuities at a local JR retail outlet as their monthly 5-pack $5-a-piece monthly promotion. The construction is excellent, as well as the burn. The cigar's draw was a little hard, but not unmanageable. The ash held very well. To me, the cigar came across as having the dominating flavour of a pleasant hay, in a good way. The strength was mild-to-medium, to the point of being easily inhalable. It lasted for eighty minutes outdoors, which is not unreasonable. Overall, a good choice if you are able to get it for $5-a-piece, but I would hesitate to pay more than that. 4 5 1
Annuity I bought a 5 pack. I tried 3. All three impossible to draw, tried to unblock. Horrible plus the wrapper falling apart.....I had bought many many cigars and orders. Have had enjoymeny with several other brands. Haven't tried most. I sincerely hope this is not the case for others. Iam extremely upset. 1 5 1
Annuity I don't know about some of the other reviews , but i Love these things and have never had a bad one . Construction is great , and the wrapper always has that oily feel to it . Ash , draw and flavor has always been on point . Maybe i just get lucky every time i order them , or maybe the bad reviews just dont have a clue? 5 5 1
Annuity The cigar was decent. The flavor profile was a little off for me, but overall it smoked well. 4 5 1
Annuity This actually one of my first orders with JR cigar, the cigars came in super hard, wrapper is falling off. Tried top salvage them ny putting them in my humidor that is 67/71 and they wont hydrate. Tried smoking one and tiny dry leaves kept swooping in on every draw. Absolutely disgustinng. I think if the cigar came fresh from JR it would have been ok but they dont care if they send dry and stale cigars. I wont be shopping with JR ever again, 1 5 1
Annuity I’m transitioning from an occasional smoker to am everyday smoker. I needed to take an extra snip off the cap and the draw was perfect. I’m more of a mild profile guy and find The Banker to be slightly less than medium to medium in its strength. Construction is fantastic. On #3 off the 5-pack I ordered. No issues with the wrapper as mentioned by others. I love the consistency and even burn. Definitely going to add more of this brand to my humidor. Worth every penny spent! 5 5 1
Annuity These came as sample on a Toro H. Upmann 1844 Anejo order. Bad draw, bad construction, flavorless... 2 5 1
