Toro Especial Really good cigar. Like everything about it except the draw. It takes at least two pulls to get enough smoke to call it smoking> It may just be in my mind, but, the more pulls it takes to get the smoke up to the smoker, the hotter the cigar is going to burn which in turn changes the subtle flavors of the smoke 4 5 1

Toro Especial I received this for free as part of an ACIDs promotion, but these cigars are excellent and I will likely purchase a box when I'm out of the free ones. The draw flavor and construction are perfect, but take some time to smoke so not a great cigar if your looking for a quick experience. 5 5 1
Toro Especial Got this today as part of JR Sampler Drew Estate 10-cigar bonus when I bot a box of Herrara Esteli Nortenas, which has joined my rotation.. Wanted to share my take on this because I'm searching for alternatives for Padrom Maduro, since they've been in short supply. The Undercrown Maduro is a good choice if you're looking for primarily sharp expresso, smoke, and black pepper notes. Its construction, burn, and draw are flawless. Its strength is, as JR indicates, medium-strong. Its after-effects are that of a refined, quality hand-rolled.. It would probably pair very well with bourbon, though that awaits my next trial of this cigar (they thoughtfully included two in this dynamite sampler of Drew Estate's non-flavored cigars). .However, if you seek a maduro that dellivers the chocolate and leather notes that characterize Nicaraguan maduro puros like Padron, Perdomo 20th Anniv, Oliva Series V Maduro, and, to some extent, Nortena maduros deliver, you might find that this one falls short. I wanted to tell you about it, though, because I respect this maduro, and realize we all have different preferences in flavor notes. This cigar is definitely worth a try.It is not the same as a Padron maduro, but, after all, that's why most of us have flavor rotations.Good luck and good smoking. 4 5 1
