The line gets its name from Puerto de Carenas, the previous name for the Port of Havana, while Saint Luis Rey itself, is named after the town of San Luis in the Vuelta Abajo tobacco region in Cuba, where these cigars were originally rolled. The blend features fully aged Honduran tobaccos for the binder and fillers, followed by a rich, flawless Cuban-seed Nicaraguan wrapper. The finished product is a medium bodied smoke that delivers smooth and creamy flavors of earth, peppery spices, coffee, and some hints of salted caramel.
