Robusto Larga A mild maduro with lots of flavor like coffeecoco cedar and spice all the way through. The draw is normally a bit loose and sometimes the burn is a little off but not enough to be a problem. I've smoked these for many years and always considered them one of the best deals out there. 3 5 1

Robusto Larga Maria Mancini Maduro were tried for the first time in a sampler. I liked them well enough to order a box. They have an easy draw with great flavor. They are boxed pressed which takes me back to my youth. My uncle smoked cigars and it seemed that all the cigars were boxed pressed at that time. Nostalgia is good. 5 5 1

Robusto Larga I really, REALLY wanted to like this one. It wasn’t to be. In the first inch of the burn, it tunneled and went out. Re-lit. In the second inch of the burn, it tunneled and went out. Third time’s a charm, right? Well....kinda. It stayed lit, but the burn was absolutely horrible. All over the place. At one point, the ash actually looked like the profile of a Great Dane with it’s ears perked up - and no, I’m not making that up or exaggerating. Had to pretty much continuously draw on it to keep it lit from that point on. The flavor? Well, it was better in the last third than the rest of the cigar, and even then it was only “ok”. Disappointed because this was my first Costa Rican wrapper, and was really looking forward to a positive, new cigar experience. 2 5 1
Robusto Larga Never bothered to write a review before but this one shocked me enough that I had to. I got this one in a sampler and wow. Construction was very good, maybe slightly on the loose side but it does to claim to be of Cuban rolled style. Still has good mass so its not like they skimped anywhere.. Draw is medium-light which is exactly what I prefer. Flavor lives up to the billing exactly, the chocolate, cedar, earthiness is all there, full of flavor without a bite. I'd describe the creaminess they mention as more of a mouth feel than a flavor. The smoke is thick and the burn was very even which was a pleasant surprise. I will be buying this one again, especially at this price point. Very much reminded me of an Oliva V Melanio, if you've tried those. 5 5 1
