The second release in the Emissary line continues Macanudo’s exploration of continental Europe as a source for cigar tobacco. This time, the spotlight in France. The Emissary France Robusto 5x52 brings a filler leaf grown in Bordeaux, marking one of the rare instances of French-grown cigar tobacco hitting the market. Made at Made at STG Danli in Honduras, the brand continues their legacy of creating gorgeous industry-defying cigars. The wrapper is a 10-year-aged Ecuadorian Habano covering a 10-year-old U.S Broadleaf binder that adds a chewy base of wood and grain. The filler includes a 4-year-aged Bordeaux-grown French leaf, adding a salty mix to the cigar. That’s balanced by 7-year-aged Brazilian Arapiraca, 10-year-aged Dominican Piloto, and an 8-year-aged American Broadleaf.
