La Gloria Cubana Wavell One of the worst cigars I ever had. Can't believe that J&R would out their name on them. First one was harsh and burned poorly. Second one was harsh and tunneled severely. I gave up after that. This was my first and las experience with J&R!!!! Suggest you use Cigars International. 1 5 1

La Gloria Cubana Wavell These cigars are well made, but they just don't have any flavor. The wrapper is not "Dark Brown" as shown in the photo which I guess explains the lack of flavor. They are not "Medium" strength. The ring is less than 50, more like a Petit Corona than a Wavell which is 5" x 50. These are 4 1/2". I can't stress enough how lacking in flavor these things are. They taste nothing like a Gloria Cubana. A disappointment. 2 5 1

This one is no exception probably the best of them JR Alternatives I had to date. Straight out of the bundle these had a robust explosive flavor. They needed to aging in the humidor at all but the longer they sit the more I know I will always have a bundle of these for a good daily smoke! 4 5 1

La Gloria Cubana Wavell Bought these on a whim. turns out they are a stupendously fantastic little sticks. Draw is pretty good, can be some what tight but their definitely packed to the brim. Flavor complexity is pretty good, got that bit of Nicaraguan kick, and strengh is the top end of medium, yet very smooth. definitely a cigar I will be ordering again. 5 5 1

La Gloria Cubana Wavell When I first laid eyes on these I thought. Looks like a Mexican Maduro. Black, toothy, consistent. The dry aroma from this smoke is nice. Coffee, espresso fill the nose. The construction is almost perfect. They are firm but still have a good draw. Burn was consistent and even. The flavors however are not those of LG wavell. That being said. It was however outstanding. Starts with a nice dose of smooth spice. Quickly the coffee, espresso and some mocha mixes in. This cigar stayed pretty consistent in flavor throughout. The last 1/3 added some more spice and heat. This cigar really surprised me. Its med/full body and flavor are, well excellent. 5 5 1
La Gloria Cubana Wavell Out of the cellophane this cigar is dark and silky smooth with a nice draw ,shorter than a robusto but pack full of flavor of earth and tangy raisin .After taste holds up after a few relights but this is a nice smooth 90 min cigar up to the final inch. 10/10 5 5 1

La Gloria Cubana Wavell I bought a bundle of 20 of these cigars because they are advertised by JR as their version of La Gloria Cubana Wavell maduro. This 'in house' cigar is about 90% close to the La Gloria Cubana maduro. It's taste is not as rich, and the wrapper not as black, but for the price it's a fantastic smoke. I smoke at least one JR brand cigar a day, and I like them all. I just got back into enjoying cigars after over a decade of bondage - not by the state - and it's a fantastic journey.
