Romeo y Julieta Hermoso No.1 This is an oddball cigar. I think that it must have been made from good tobacco by trainees in a larger company. The flavor is quite good and typical of a mid range maduro stick. Construction is an average binder fold method. The drawback is uneven sometimes easy and sometimes difficult. What is really odd is the inconsistencies. Sometimes I get a very well-made stick but as I sit here I am smoking one that has the wrapper put on inside out. Tears in the wrappers are pretty common. Sometimes the cigar starts to fall apart upon being cut. I even found a couple where the only way I could figure out to smoke it without the wrapper falling apart completely was to light the cut end and smoke it backwards. For the price I can't really complain and as an ordinary porch smoke it's not so bad but I would rather pick up better cigars on sale when I get the opportunity. 3 5 1

Romeo y Julieta Hermoso No.1 This cigar is an excellent value. Its construction flavor and draw are very consistent. Of course there are occasional exceptions but for the most part this cigar delivers time after time. This has been my go to smoke for about 5 years. The flavor profile is on the heavy side. I gave it 4 stars when compared to all cigars on the market ... compared to only value based products it would rate a 5. 4 5 1
Romeo y Julieta Hermoso No.1 the alternative Romeo is a very good smoke with lots of flavor. I find it to be one of my favorite smokes from JR cigars. My hat goes off to the makers of this awesome smoke. It has a great pull and is long lasting with a consistent blend all the way through to the end. If you are looking for a great alternative to a Romeo and Juliet line look no further this is it. 5 5 1

Romeo y Julieta Hermoso No.1 Recently bought a bundle of 20 in December 2020 The draw was very inconsistant not like the other Jr edicion limitada that I have bought in the past. Also had burns working up the cigar in which I had to cut off to save some of the cigar. Have smoked 6 of the 20 all 6 were similar and disappointing. This is the first time trying the Romeo y Julieta line. Probably my last if the remainder are disappointing also. Generally speaking I love the JR Alternatives especially the JR Edicion Limitada's. 2 5 1

Romeo y Julieta Hermoso No.1 I wrote my first review for this cigar in 2015, have been smoking this one since before 2010, and now have encountered the first issue with it. I generally buy 2 or more bundles at a time and let them rest in the humidor for a few months before smoking them. Of the 2 bundles I ordered in April, so far 12 0f 13 have not been smokable because they are rolled so tight. Evidently, someone at the factory had been having a bad day when they rolled these. I haven't attempted the second bundle of these as yet, so the jury is still out on them. I did call JR and learned that because they are outside the 30 day window, they cannot be returned, and a 25% discount was offered. I appreciate the offer, but don't know if I want to chance another bundle. Maybe I'll order something else and wait until I see more reviews that may indicate the issue has been addressed and adjustments made. 1 5 1
