Cohiba Double Corona I'm about halfway through a bundle of these and the only problem I've had is sometimes the draw makes me work too hard to really enjoy the flavor which is excellent. It may be me though in all honesty because the humidity sometimes will hit 74% in my humi and I have to get it down. Other than that the stock is very well done. 4 5 1

Cohiba Double Corona They always arrive wet and disturb my humidor. Plan to let them acclimate for a few weeks to be right. Once they are the peppery flavor makes for a delicious long terms smoke. Draw is slightly hard right away and does remain slightly after they dry out. 4 5 1

But this delicious Cohiba knockoff holds its charm from first to last is perfectly constructed draws nicely and just blows me away for the price. Highly recommend this JR Alternative. Cohiba Double Corona I really enjoyed half of these cigars. The flavor was great. Very rich. They also burn for a while. My only complaint was a very poor draw and burn. This made almost half of the cigars a poor experience. Even if 50% aren't good smokes the price is still great for the ones that are! 3 5 1

This is hands down a premium cigar and with bargains like this I will not be purchasing many name brand cigars. Lew is coming up with a lot of gimmicks and this may be one of them but it is a darn fine gimmick. Cohiba Double Corona Ordered this based on reviews and price. From opening the wrapper to snuffing out the last bit this cigar is probably one of the best I have ever had - at least to my palate. The just-oily wrapper and the smooth flavor of the tobacco even before smoking is great. One does have to be careful not to draw too fast as the draw is easy and it can heat up quickly but it does not burn quickly which is very nice. 4 sticks into the bundle and looking forward to #5... 4 5 1
Cohiba Double Corona I accidentally ordered these instead of the Dominican cohibas. The flavor is good but it is very strong. I was only able to smoke about three quarters then would get an upset stomach. I started smoking half at a time and enjoyed them more. If you like full bodied cigars these may be for you. 3 5 1

Cohiba Double Corona This JR Alt Cuban Double Coronawas one of my first JR Alternatives in more than 25 years. I've generally stuck to a medium-Strong Honduran Hoyo de Monterreys, Punch Pitas, Rocky Patel, and JR Ultimate/Cabinet, but as my fav Cabinet stick skyrocketed in price, I decided to go downmarket to see if I could live as a smoker down there. Turns out I can. I bought 3 5-packs of fake Cubans (these alt Cohibas, some alt Hoyos and alt Montecristo Edmundos) and after smoking 2 of each, I can say I like the Hoyos best (so 3-1/2 stars for them) but all 3 of these fake Cubans have a family taste and feel. Fairly powerful, relatively well made, decent flavor but very young, tending toward harsh, with a disposition toward running/canoeing that is checkable. I like these alt Cohibas be because, at their length, I can get 2 short snorts from one stick. I'll guess that, put up for a year or two, any of these guys may well turn out to be the best bargain in your humidor. At the price point, it's well worth the gamble. 3 5 1

The batches I have received have a noticeable brown cast to the wrapper like they are well aged. This is not my favorite of this line, but when it's the only one available ( as this line is frequently OOS or backordered) I don't hesitate to purchase them. Cohiba Double Corona These cigars are beautiful! The wrappers glow with oil. The medium bodied flavor is delicious. I’m a huge fan. The construction makes these sticks almost unsmokable. It’s just heartbreaking. Between the uneven burning, the requirement of constant corrections, the need to re-light, and the impossible draw, it becomes a frustrating experience. Cohiba Double Corona The cigars have excellent taste but the construction of this bundle was inconsistent. Several (maybe 25%) of the cigars were wrapped too tightly in places and were very difficult to draw or enjoy, even after hand rolling them to loosen them up enough to keep them lit. Cohiba Double Corona Thought I'd give these JR Cohiba's a try. And BOY am I glad I did. These Double Corona's not burned so nice and long and every draw was tasty and robust enough to want me to draw on it over and over. Which I started too and found out how rough they will get on the throat. So, I began to draw from it after a minute or more of sitting. What a great surprise.. My palate isn't as descriptive as many others in here, but, the draw was smooth and consistent to the very nub. The earthy(?) flavor was silky from the beginning to the middle third and then the last third had so much more depth to it's richness it had me wanting to light up another. BUT, I decided to make this an every third day smoke so it would be more of another NEW PLEASURE ... 5 5 1

Cohiba Double Corona I bought these cigars for every day smoke. For added value, I cut them in half which are good enough for 15 minute break smokes. Flavors are good, complexity is not bad, draws vary from stick to stick, but none of them were too tight. I’d give them a couple of weeks to rest before smoking but, they were good right out the box. Cohiba Double Corona I bought a couple of discount 5 packs just to try them. The first one out the pack wouldn’t draw, so I just cut it in half. The flavor is rich, medium bodied and smooth. The cut end didn’t disintegrate into pieces so I just smoked the rest of them on that fashion. must be a true, good long filler. I wouldn’t buy them again. My responses are based on the first smoke before I cut it in half. The cut cigars, 3.75 x 50 were very good, though. Since I halved all of the other cigars, I can’t speak to consistency, though each one out of the package whole seemed very tightly wrapped. 2 5 1

Cohiba Double Corona Got my first bundle with the new band. Came wrapped in brown paper instead of the cellophane. Someone else is rolling these smokes. The originals were good but the construction varied from bundle to bundle. This new version is a big improvement from what see after 6 cigars. They are rolled much stiffer with no soft spots which makes for a more consistent smoke . The only other Honduran cigar I have had as hard as these is the triple maduro. They burn even and deliver lots of smoke. Big improvement and I just ordered another bundle to see if I get the new version again. This is a 1 1/2 hour or a (6 shot) smoke so you have to take time and rekax 5 5 1
