War Hammer Picked one of these up and had to say I was really impressed. Cold draw had huge hints of cocoa and coffee. When I lit it up it was really peppery but mellowed our through the first third with big espresso flavors and a nice draw. At the halfway point it was espresso, spice, light pepper, and delicious leather that kept me coming back for more. War Hammer I had tried the Mace size in a sampler and loved it but wanted a longer lasting smoke so I got the War Hammer. What a great stogie! First third was peppery and spicy with hints of burnt coffee...2nd third was smooth with no harsh overtones, dark cocoa and fresh bread retrohale, last third was also smooth with an earthy toast flavor, soooo good! Burned with slight unevenness but self corrected. I will def reorder this one as it as good or BETTER than sticks two or three times it’s price. Absolute value in this one! 5 5 1

War Hammer This used to be one of my favorite smokes, but not anymore. Is AJ Fernandez now somehow involved in the manufacturing process? Smoked 4 of the 10 pack I purchased and every one of them was a bitter (figuratively and literally) disappointment. Worst draw I've ever encountered, like trying to suck a golf ball thru a garden hose. Even sticking a golf tee thru the end of the gar failed to help. Uneven burn, frequent relights, bitter taste, gray smoke, consistently terrible overall. Had to throw the rest of them away. 1 5 1

War Hammer Starting off, this does pack a punch, but flavor-wise is pretty refined. A very smoky meduim dark chocolate and less coffee. Burns very well and you don't have to constantly tend to it. Draws well. The wrapper is top notch. The first 2/3 pretty much stay constant. My issue is with the last third. The great flavors are totally blown out by the power of this thing! The final act is a constant promise to yourself to finish this to the end. Don't do it. I put mine out with about 1 1/2 inches left. Listen to the advice about having a full stomach. I'd also advise saving these for a cold day and not a Texas summer day. You've been warned. 3 5 1

War Hammer They look good, I had high hopes for them, even bought two packs because I expected at least mid level quality. Unfortunately that is not the case. The tobacco seems to be undercured, almost raw, and produced a flavor best described as "green". I thought it might be just me, so I gave some to another cigar guy, and he texted me saying that halfway through he had to throw it away because of a bad taste (I wont use the words he used). In short: this is garbage tobacco in a pretty package. 2 5 1

War Hammer I have read the other reviews and I can tell you that I have had a few that were wrapped to tight and the draw was difficult, but that is about 1% of them, and I smoke a LOT of this brand. This and the Mace are my two go two smokes and what fill my humidor (outside of the occasional auction win of Nub or Romeos). These cigars are not for the faint of heart, they pack a punch, but I can tell you that flavor is always awesome. NOW I have had gotten them where they needed a bit of TLC to become fresh, sometimes JR is not so good at keeping their stock in the proper humidity, but once they are seasoned, these are some of the best I have smoked. 5 5 1
