Topper 1894

Corona 6 × 44 TC18C

Chris Topper just discovered his family-owned cigar company is older than anyone thought. A letter penned by his great-grandfather indicates the company may have started in 1894, making them one of America’s oldest family-owned operations. To celebrate their 130-year milestone, they’ve dropped a new handmade cigar, the Topper 1894 Corona 6x44. It’s a wonderful tribute to their new founding status and their Pennsylvania roots. This beauty sports a Habano wrapper from Sugar Velley’s hidden growing region in Pennsylvania. Not only does it trace back to the company’s early days, it may be the first premium cigar to market this type of wrapper. Inside is a Connecticut Broadleaf and Dominican filler. The rest of the blend is kept under wraps with the binder also being a manufacturer’s secret. Expect earthy grit, tannic wood, oak, and cedar in this medium-bodied experience. Available in boxes of 20, order yours at JR Cigars.
