Toro You're really treating yourself with this one, a premium cigar with the robust, smooth flavor a premium cigar should deliver. The one I sampled unfortunately had some issues with the wrapper, beginning with the cap which flaked when initially cut, and finished by starting to unravel in the final 1/4. I assume that this was a one-off. The smooth draw was perfect, with an engineer-perfect even burn that delivered flavor as advertised - cedar and leather predominated. The large diameter allowed the filler to cool the smoke very well, allowing for a real opportunity to taste the smoke. The first quarter inch seemed a bit bitter, but it quickly settled itself. Despite the wrapper issue (which is why I could not give it all 5 stars), this puro Nicaraguan blend was excellent. I recommend this as a great cigar for a more formal herf, or to share with special friends. A truly great cigar 4 5 1
Toro I bought these on an impulse buy during check-out, as it popped up as the bonus buy, and I was blown away! I got a 10-pack for less than half of full price! Visually this cigar is damn sexy, and since you cannot just judge a stogie by it's looks I had to give it the taste test. It's an incredible cigar! The draw was perfect down to the last inch (had to put it out since it was burning my fingers.) To me it tasted of dried apple and apricot candies, as well as soaked wood chips you'd use to grill up an excellent steak. As for strength to me it was slightly past medium, but not so strong it'll punch you in the jaw. If this cigar still pops up as a bonus buy during your check-out, and you haven't yet tried one i recommend you give that a click. A damn good stick for less than 1/2 price! 5 5 1
Toro Bought a box of toros , I’ve smoked these before and they were fantastic, I’ve had four from this box and all of them had a strong ammonia smell,I’m going to put them in a separate humidor for a while 3 5 1
Toro Included with an order as a bonus as did another reviewer. Was very pleasantly surprised and the rich flavor and overall consistency of this smoke. Will purchase again. 5 5 1
Toro Excellent composition and draw. Hints of earth, coffee and spice. 5 5 1
Toro Got one of these here on jr in a mystery promo pack and it was cracked front to back. Tried to smoke it anyways. The band held it together from completely splitting open. It smoked terrible, tasted terrible. Mind you I tried smoking a cigar in very poor shape. I would try another possibly. Very disappointed however in receiving a cigar in this kind of condition from jr. 1 5 1
Toro I was hoping this would be a great cigar. I’ve tried three over a 8 month period. It cracks all all over after the 1st third. Prob the worst cigar from this brand. I’ve lived almost every other label. But very disappointing. 2 5 1
Toro Nice creamy, vanilla/almonds start. A little pepper and stayed pretty consistent til the final 1/3. Then the pepper & black coffee came out. Good draw, well constructed. The burn was pretty even til the middle then went awry, but fixable. Great cigar. 4 5 1
Toro I have smoked Romeo y Julieta Reserve Reals for a long time, and it is one of my favorite cigars. I really liked the Dominican cigars. A friend of mine gave me a Romeo y Julieta Reserve Real Nicaraguan and it was one of the best smokes I have ever had. I ordered a box of Nicaraguan toros. It is now my favorite cigar! I now think the Nicaraguan cigars are more flavorful than the Dominican. You should try one. Happy smoking. 5 5 1
Toro Nice flavor and smooth draw. Nice construction. I enjoy this one. 4 5 1
Toro This cigar has everything you would want in a medium body smoke! The construction and the draw are great! It has really nice flavor from the beginning until the end and the burn is really nice. 5 5 1
Toro I am disappointed. At first sight, the cigar looks great. The smoke was too peppery for my tastes, so much so that it overshadowed all of the other flavors. The band was difficult to remove and while smoking the cigar, I noticed the wrapper was cracked under where the band was, Then as I smoked it, the cracks in the wrapper started to get larger and I noticed the inside of the cigar was expanding and stretching the binder under the band. Of course, this led to issues with burning evenly. It was a real disappointment. With the names associated with this cigar, my expectations were much higher as I kow what this cigar should be. Maybe I just got a bad stick? Maybe I got a stick from a bad lot? I don't know, But this was a real disappointment. 1 5 1
