Churchill The man is a master. I haven't hesitated to select a cigar blended by Mr. Fernandez and this Churchill doesn't disappoint. I am a "toro" guy at heart but smoked Churchills' in my youth but nothing as flavorful as this. I've now smoked the entire RJ line-up in this blend and highly recommend them all. Smooth and even burning with tons of smoke! You won't be sorry!!! 5 5 1
Churchill This size both ring and length seem to consistently be the sweet spot for these Romeo y Julieta AJ Fernandez blended cigars. I consider these one of the best kept secrets of cigars on the price and quality for your dollar. I even pick these over my Padrons quite often when going to my humidor for a cigar. 5 5 1
Churchill After 25 years, I consider myself pretty well-versed in what I like. I prefer a medium to mild smoke. This is not that, but it is now in my top 2-3 favorite smokes. This cigar is phenomenal and grows into great. It's hard to put down. The cedar wrap infuses the Habana2000 wrapper and brings it to life, giving it incredible depth. The aged Nicaraguan binder and filler give it a solid flavor profile. The smoking experience is not dissimilar to your favorite Havanas, a crisp, easy smoking experience - loaded with flavor and light on the palette. This cigar differs slightly. This cigar smokes nicely from the get-go, but compared to Havanas there is a slight delay in the flavor hitting the pallette and the flavors in this cigar are not light when they do build and hit the pallette. The cigar's flavor grows in intensity throughout the smoke. The starches have been thoroughly broken down into sugars and there is no bitterness. This thing is a symphony. Flavors: Espresso, cocoa and chocolate, Mexican spice, leather, and cream. 5 5 1
Churchill The Romeo Y Juliet by AJ Fernandez Churchill is probably the best cigar I’ve smoked. I’ve had several brands. I’m not sure if it’s better than Padron as I haven’t smoked one in a while. But this cigar is smooth and incredibly tasty with a tremendous aftertaste that isn’t too strong. It has a great draw and it stays lit. It doesn’t bite and it’s just all around pleasant. It’s great to look at and hold and it makes you look like a king from the moment you take it out of the humidor to the moment you peel off the wrapper so you can enjoy some more. I can’t understand how a cigar can be so good, especially after smoking so many from big name brand sampler packs. I rely on JR Cigars at JRCigars.com to supply all my cigar needs. They’ll give you a 20% coupon and they just have the incredible deals and a cigar club. Their customer service is great, I was surprised to receive a full refund for a humidor that was missing a critical screw and the hole was stripped out but they did. They also have someone who actually answers the phone which is a huge plus. Note: I don’t receive any compensation from them and this is just done because of my gratitude. The way AJ Fernandez wraps these cigars ensures the head will not unravel if you like to cut it high like I do. Churchill The product description for the RyJ Crafted by AJ Fernandez says this is medium to full bodied; I say that it’s straight up full. This stick starts out strong and doesn’t let up, but I definitely detected some sweetness toward the end. The burn is slow and perfect, the smoke rich and thick, and the flavor is complex but not very nuanced; it’s a lot like having a bucket of cold water thrown in your face. Definitely worth a try if you’re a fan of full bodied Nicaraguans. 4 5 1
