Robusto Rocky Patel has long been a favorite brand of mine and his vintage series cigars are my favorites of his. The 1990 has a beautiful construction and equally beautiful is the experience. It boasts a smooth yet full draw wonderful spice notes and thick and tasty smoke. I’ll gladly buy these as long as I’m smoking! 5 5 1

Robusto This and the Royale are my fave two Rockys. Smooth flavorful earthy doesn't have the draw and burn problems that other Rockys can have. I don't understand the bad reviews except that maybe people aren't giving them enough time. RPs are old school blends and need some humi time to taste their best. And dry boxing helps the burn. Don't blame the cigar. 4 5 1
Robusto Amazing cigar with a unique taste! Cannot say enough about the Vintage '90. Perfect draw perfect construction perfect burn & great great taste with hints of leather wood slight nuttiness & a very slight pepper on the finish. That being said to me it tastes like no other. Robusto I love Rocky Patel cigars but this is just a wonderful cigar. Great mild flavor from the tip to the stub. It's a go to smoke for me and I'll buy more. Not over powering but the taste is fantastic creamy and earthy with great smoke. Burns great just like all RP cigars I've had in the past. This is one of my favorites. 5 5 1

Robusto The vintage 1990 was not in my flavor preference but this was a well constructed cigar with a perfect draw and the the burn line was razor sharp. I would still recomend this to anybody getting into heavier blends though. 4 5 1

Robusto I agree with a few of the other posters -- one of RP's best sticks with rock solid consistency RP is known for. I keep coming back to this stick time and again. 4 5 1

Robusto Very nice chocolate appearence. Draw was light and easy. After lighting it started off very smooth with soft ceder earthy and slight caramel flavors. I didn't get any harsh or ashy taste. The aroma was very pleasent and slightly sweet. The second third developed a bit more body and complexity but stayed smooth. There was a touch of spice and maybe some cinnamon. Overall I would try this one again. 4 5 1

Robusto I got these on auction for a steal compared to the msrp. They’re a good smoke, but it’s not the greatest thing of all time by any means. For what it is, it’s perfect. The main thing I noticed was the perfect even burn from foot to nub. Ashed 3 times. The flavor of this reminded me a little bit of Le Bijou, but not as strong. It had a delicious leather/molasses taste, with a building pepper taste as you get to the nub. You can smell the aged tobacco as soon as you open the wrapper. It was a pretty flawless construction. I think the size and length are perfect. Like I said, really good smoke, but it didn’t floor me like some premium smokes I’ve had, so for the price this is an excellent compromise to something high end. I would say slightly overpriced, but RP always delivers so you know it’s going to be good. 4 5 1

Robusto Construction was great. Burn was a little wonky, but corrected itself. My first time to try the robust and I didn't think it was near as tasty as the Toro. Shipping and packaging was spot on. Would order the Toro again, but probably not the robust. 4 5 1
Robusto Got great deal on the 5-packs so grabbed three of them. First off, the shipping was freaky fast, like Jimmy John's did the delivery, and that was with the "Best Way" option. Now, the cigar. Right out of the package, smooth, even burn, great taste and smell and it was even better exhaling through the nose. All the flavors intensified 100 fold! Even burning all the way to the nub without getting hot, great consistency for a box pressed. This is an amazingly built cigar and I had no filler tobacco in my mouth with using my v-cutter. I can't imagine what they are going to be like after sitting in my humidor for a bit.... not going to be a daily cigar. 5 5 1

Robusto These are Great premium square box Pressed cigars from Rocky Patel. These beautifully constructed cigars has a nice oily maduro wrapper that stayed intact all the way to a little nub. Excellent draw with a nice complex but mellow flavor. I won a five pack of these cigars for $19.99 on the Jr auction site. Verses Jrs regular price of $44.75. So I would absolutely buy them again for $19.99, but Never for $44.75 or $8.95 a stick. These are fantastic cigars, but they are not AF Hemingway's or a Padron. Absolutely a premium cigar though and definitely humidor worthy. 4 5 1
Robusto Another home run from the Rocky team. I sheepishly admit I didn't expect much. JR gave a 10 box (nice) bonus when you buy a box of San Andreas and of course I looked squarely in the mouth of the gift horse. But I was never expecting this level of gift! I have always leaned towards multi-country blends and this one tops them all. The blending of this wrapper with this binder and filler with this fantastic aging give rewards that satisfies and can change a bad day into a distant memory. Robusto This is a smooth and subtle cigar, with hints of fruity sweetness. It's so smooth that its potency is not obvious until your head is spinning. Gorgeous to look at, with a glossy and bumpy dark reddish-brown wrapper. Construction is perfect, burn is perfect. Robusto An excellent cigar, with nicely aged tobacco. Admittedly, at the msrp you could find better options. But on sale these are great. No way are they mellow. Medium strength at least. Construction and draw are first rate. Burn is good, although I had some canoeing. The maduro wrapper looks and tastes great, giving just the right touch of sweetness to the flavors, which are subtle. The cigar is smooth. Some have noted harshness. This is probably due to insufficient time in the humidor. These need to sit a bit. 5 5 1
Robusto A decent stick as far as flavor goes however construction was lacking, out of the five pack two began to unravel before half way through and a third had the entire outer wrapper come off making it unable to smoke, had to toss a nearly whole cigar, based on the other reviews and the other two in the pack I'm guessing I just got a bad batch 3 5 1
Robusto I first had it back in the mid to end 2000s and I haven't smoked another one again until now. It's a lot better than my memory had recalled. I like its square shape, the box-pressed cigars around this ring size fit comfortably in my mouth and this one is no exception. That Maduro wrapper looks savory, the time for the tobacco leaf to turn to that color and developing its full flavors are really appreciated. I did a guillotine cut, and at the dry draw, it was a little too easy or light for my preference but with a tone of deep chocolate, and some more subtle black coffee and earthiness hints too. Its medium body presents a rich chocolaty taste that would be a real joy for almost anybody to enjoy. It's a short to medium finish with some very light spiciness coming out during the last third. I'm not confident that pairing it with a whiskey wouldn't overpower it, however. But I do have some vanilla spice tea that I will definitely pair it with next time as I think this could bring the experience to whole different level. Either way, this RP 1990 Vintage Maduro is a definite must-have at all times in my humidor from now on! What a nice revisit! Thanks, JR as always! 5 5 1
