Toro I found these cigars to have good flavor. I’ve had 4 of them from the box so far, and 3 of them did not burn evenly which made for a very frustrating smoke. Not sure if they’re using inferior tobacco leaf, but it doesn’t bode well for the rest of the box. Mark me unhappy......... 1 5 1
Toro Thought I would give these a try because of the name and value.....what a mistake....no taste, poor construction..... 1 5 1
Toro Too bad these didn't work out. Bad quality for a Rocky. 1 5 1
Toro I have been ordering cigars from JR since the mid 70's and most of the cigars I ordered have been top quality. Keep up the good work JR. 5 5 1
Toro Previous Freedoms were amazing. The new ones, however, don't taste nearly as good, and the construction is very poor. 3 5 1
Toro All good 5 5 1
Toro I have tried a ton of sticks. My quest for an affordable everyday stick has lead me to this RP Freedom. This cigar is by far THE BEST affordable stick I have ever smoked. It burns well and has nice transitions throughout the stick. This is rare in a $4-5 Connecticut. First 3rd has a little strength (not bad at all), but I get a great creamy and light caramel taste from the 2nd 3rd until the finish. I allow my sticks to rest in my humidor at least 1 month before I start smoking them. What I find with a lot of cigar smokers is, they always rate inexpensive sticks as being bad. I get it because most are, but this one smokes BETTER than 90% of the $10+ sticks. JR ran a special on these sticks for less than $3 a stick a couple of months ago. I only bought about 60. When these go back on sale for less than $3 a stick again, I am buying at least 10 BOXES. 5 5 1
Toro It is terrible when you set aside time to relax and the cigar is not up to par. This was not the case with my recent purchase 5 5 1
Toro I have smoked 50% of my purchase and on every cigar it burns uneven to the point of making it difficult to finish. Draw is ok, a bit harsh in the flavor, and with the uneven wrap, I would not purchase again. 3 5 1
Toro one of Rocks cheaper line that is good. nice even burn but I did get 3 cigars from the box that tunneled 4 5 1
Toro I was very excited the try a Rocky Patel that I hadn't seen before especially being a patriot that I am but then I was very let down by the quality I expected much more 2 5 1
Toro Great taste but VERY POOR construction. Come on Rocky P..this is ridiculous!!! 3 5 1
Toro Rocky Patel freedom Connecticut Toro. I was disappointed with the cigar. It is too loose of construction and therefore does not give a good burn.I cannot recommend this cigar. 2 5 1
Toro This is probably the most budget friendly of the Rocky line and I have never had a bad one. Some other reviewers have noted problems with construction and uneven burns but I have never experienced any of that myself. Consistent quality flavorful cigar. 5 5 1
Toro A good reasonably priced cigar 4 5 1
Toro Smoked 2 so fat. One was a very loose draw even with a punch cut. The other had one of the worst burns I have ever had. I always check the humidity of the sticks before smoking. The 2nd stick tested within my usual parameters. I smoked the original version in robusto. I loved the stick. Solid construction for the originals. The taste of the conneticut is your standard flavors. Slightly above mild but it was a Toro. The longer lengths usually seem stronger than the shorter. 2 5 1
Toro I bought a box of 20 based on JRs recommendation that I trust. Let me first say that I have a number of Rocky Edge Toro Corago that I find very good. However, the freedom is just a lousy cigar. The burn is uneven, the cap end is soft, the taste is harsh which cancels out any flavor and the burn is fast (a good thing). Is it a good grass cutting cigar, no it is a good taking out the trash cigar and adding them. 2 5 1
Toro Good quality cigar from one of the better cigar producers. 4 5 1
Toro 20 year cigar smoker here. I do not understand the negative reviews here. This cigar is the one that got me out of Rosa Cuba, La Finca and the other big bundle brands. I have been through 3 boxes and the consistency, draw, and flavor are very good and this and its Maduro brother have also stopped me from buying more expensive cigars. 5 5 1
Toro even brn on the box I smoked good taste 5 5 1
Toro One of my very favorites. Nice smooth tasty cigar 5 5 1
Toro Could have a better draw 4 5 1
Toro I enjoyed it. Smooth Flavor. Decent draw. Good burn. My least favorite of the Freedom series. 3 5 1
Toro very flavorful & i usually an a full body guy. delicious light notes. would be 4 stars but it burned terribly. would get again! insane draw 3 5 1
Toro Good value fast shipping 5 5 1
Toro A great smooth smoke excellent flavor and draw. In my opinion the best value around!!!!! 5 5 1
Toro One of my favorite cigars. Smooth flavor, stays lit with an even burn and the price is right. Could be a little less, but what couldn’t these days 4 5 1
Toro I have tried a ton of budget sticks. It took me almost 2 years to find RP Freedom Connecticut. The cigar is definitely stronger than mild, but smokes very good for a cheap stick. The first 3rd is a little strong, but within about 5 minutes, it smooths out to a solid mild smoke. Absolutely awesome with a cup of coffee. I buy boxes of these sticks when they go on sale. Once in a while JR will run a deal on RP Freedoms for less than $3 a stick. I bought 12 boxes during their last sub $3 special! I only see that deal about once or maybe twice a year. So glad I found a great everyday smoke for a reasonable price. 5 5 1
Toro This is a great smooth tasting cigar. The only issue I have is, it doesn’t burn evenly. Everyone so far that I have smoked from the box has burned down on one side faster. But I would buy again. I really liked this cigar for an every day smoke. 4 5 1
Toro Good mild/med 4 5 1
Toro Burn is solid, well constructed, flavor is amazing with a fantastic finish, the draw is well done, not overpacked at all. I will always keep these on hand! 5 5 1
Toro Great cigar! I have smoked the Rocky Patel but never the freedom and I am impressed. 1st couple I have tried have a great even burn and good draw. The construction seems to be outstanding as I was smoking while on the golf course and they held up well. Caught them on a special and this is a great daily budget smoke! 5 5 1
Toro Very enjoyable! 4 5 1
Toro I’ve had Rocky Patel Freedom in all of the wrappers but the Connecticut is a very nice, not too mild or too strong smoking experience. Just got my latest box today. As usual, super service from JR and unbelievably quick shipping. Highly recommended! 5 5 1
Toro Nice smoking cigar 5 5 1
Toro Excellent cigar smooth and mild smoke. 5 5 1
Toro Great budget cigar, great for everyday smoke. 4 5 1
Toro Nice draw, not over powering not too weak good balance, I will buy again 4 5 1
Toro I really can’t find anything negative to say about Rocky Patel cigars, they cover all the bases. The Freedom Connecticut are almost buttery. 5 5 1
Toro 2nd time buying these cigars. Love them. I hope to have a cigar lounge one dat 5 5 1
Toro I never heard of this before I bought them to try them. I think they are a nice smoke good draw nice burn and ash 5 5 1
Toro This is a Rocky Patel cigar so even if it is from one of their less desirable lines it certainly is worth it. 4 5 1
Toro Hit or miss, this time a miss. 3 5 1
Toro Smoked four of these before writing this in order to be fair. What a disappointment from Rocky whose cigars I have always enjoyed. This cigar was poorly constructed, falling apart after only a few puffs even though properly humidified. The flavor was ok for the first third but but became bitter after that. One of the very few times I have regretted a JR purchase. 1 5 1
Toro A good mellow to medium strength cigar 4 5 1
Toro Excellent cigar, burns consistently, good draw and flavor for the price. 5 5 1
Toro It was very mellow hated to put it down! 5 5 1
Toro I like the flavor. Every cigar out of 10 tunnels. 3 5 1
Toro Nice mild stick with the hint of latte and cider. Suitable for the first stick after breakfast. You can’t go wrong with any Rocky Patel!!! 5 5 1
