Montecristo No. 1 I purchased these based on many reviews stating this has become their favorite daily smoke. The cigar isn’t bad but if you are used to smoking higher quality cigars just make sure to adjust your expectations. The flavor is very mild. Overall it doesn’t accomplish the feeling I want when I sit down to unwind from the day. In other words I don’t look forward to smoking this cigar. I don’t think this will become my daily go-to for this price range. Still on the hunt. 3 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 According to my husband these are now his faves and I have to get them all the time. 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 This is a very mild cigar; further the lack of consistency of the roll is the biggest issue; i.e. within the bundle there will be 3-4 (at least) stogies that are non-smokable due to the poor rolling. However using a poke will help in the draw but I will not order these again. Not to mention they tastes nothing like or close to a Cubano cigar that is is supposed to be like. 2 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 A fine corona type flavor and consistency. Leaves are small and delicate from the top of the plant the corona which is why I make the reference. A DAMN good smoke. 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 good price but not a lot of flavor smokes kinda fast also draw was hard at first 3 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 The bundle I got had no cigars with construction issues. They draw and burn well with lots of creamy smoke. They seem to be more Mild/Medium than Medium/Full though. The first few I smoked were smooth and consistent to the end. The last few have been bitter at first then mellowing out by 1/2 way. I have smoked 10 already and decided to let the other 10 age wrapped in Spanish cedar in my humidor in hopes of losing the bitter taste. I will likely buy these again and will recommend them to friends. 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Excellent cigar for the price! Goes great with a strong drink. Has a nice Woody kind of taste. 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 My go to everyday smokes. For the price there is nothing better. I can not tell any dofference in these and the Montecristo branded sticks 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 This was an okay cigar but once you've had the actual Montecristo it really doesn't come closeAnd all it does is disappoint 2 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 I wanted a Corona size cigar to smoke in the afternoon while doing chores around the farm. I was amazed when I first saw these cigars. They have a nice oily wrapper. They burn even and hold a nice ash. The flavor is smooth with a good taste. I'll definitely reorder these again! Can't beat them for $2 a stick. 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 first one was great, net few not bad, just not up to the standards of the first smoke 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Really good cigars for the price. 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Not pleased with this order, does not stay lit, constantly having to pull out my lighter to relight ! 2 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 I like a fairly narrow cigar with full flavor, and this one takes care of both items very well. 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Very good every smoke. 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 These taste and burn like real Cuban Montecristo NO.1's. Great Smoke. 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Good smoke priced too high 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 so this was the first bundle of Cuban Alternative sticks I bought. Thank goodness bc it is such a good cigar. It's a medium to full flavor so it's definitely a smoke u can have either ur coffee at lunch..heck all day. It has a prominent nutty coffee chocolate with the flavors coating the back of ur throat. In terms of power it's a medium. The draw is consistent. Despite me getting a lot of expensive cigars in varied strength, this still is as good as my medium cigars such as the hoyo de Monterrey..just a step or two kicked back in terms of strength. But it was my first go to. My other is the alt cohiba SIGLO IV which is stronger but they have similar taste profiles. The tastes are cubanesque which means it stays the same throughout and it doesn't get boring. I nub it or smoke it to my fingers all the time. The price point?? Wow. Get the expensive ones for ur once a day treat..get these for ur all day daily treat! 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Smooth consistent quality with excellent construction. Best value for the money on the market. 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Well made looks just like the $12 cigar about a 1 hour smoker 5 5 1

Montecristo No. 1 Always a good draw and even burn. 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 I am not an expert but I like them. Great price and great flavor. 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Is it a Montecristo? No! Exactly the same as a Montecristo? No!! But it is a real fine substitute for the price 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 This has been my Go To cigar for years. Very consistent in flavor and drool factor. I have compared to MC Number 1 and found little difference. The burn is even. Draw is better with a plug cut vs a notch but that is expected with any smoke. Never had a runner as you might expect from a cheap cigar. 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 MONTECRISTO NO. 2 JR CUBAN ALTERNATIVE (JRMO2) what a great smoke! price is right and the comparison i sgood flavor withstanding. close.. i have made 3 repeat orders and also turned my neighbor on and sent him a full 20!! 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Not worth the money Did not like 2 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 I like these cigars. Taste just like a the real thing. 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 The draw improves after a few minutes of burn. The taste is great and they are a quality smoke for the money. 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 ALL GOOD 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Quality has not been as good recently. Many cigars in the bundle have been hard to keep lighted due to draw. 3 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Okay cigar but inconsistent from cigar to cigar on the draw. It seems about 20% don’t draw well at all. Otherwise I would rate these much higher. 3 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 The cigar is not as I remember it. Is it me or is it the cigar? Or, a bit of each. Seems a bit woody and not as mellow as I remember it being. Years back I switched from JREXV for the same reason. Maybe I should try them again. 3 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 ok 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 better than expected. 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Perfect! 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Not a Monte but s fine stick especially for the money. Draw is s little tough sometimes but still a great smoke! 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 I have enjoyed these as my daily smoke. Price vs quality is exceptional. In the last 6 months or so, including today, they are sold out. I've had to purchase a different cigar. 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 good draw 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Great smoke! Love the flavor 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 This will be the last correspondence I will have with you. You have not answered nor responded to the last ,, 7-8 E-mails and multiple texts over the last 3 months. And you want me to Rate you ??? Right..Dave Hook 2 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 great value 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Well constructed with complex flavours. A winner every time. 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 No cigars yet don't figure to get them 2 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 I will say for the price these are good daily smokes. Not what I would go to for a sit down and relax smoke but great for mowing the lawn. 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 I have smoked cigars on and off for a number of years. This was my first purchase from JR. I was/am very pleased with this cigar. 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Tastes a whole lot like a Marlboro red and although Marlboro reds are my favorite, it's not what I look for in a cigar. The draw isn't all that great. Kind of wish I would've saved the 50 dollars and just got a couple good cigars. 2 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Mont1 5 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Size not what I expected 2 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 JR Cuban Alternative is my go-to cigar. 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 The JR Cuban Alternative to a Montecristo No.1 is my go-to cigar. They are consistent and reasonably priced, on sale. 4 5 1
Montecristo No. 1 Leaf: colors are even and on the lighter side of EMS, free of larger stems and veins. Roll: good roll, not too tight or loose leading to a good draw and a consistent equal burn all around. Taste: mostly nice and mellow, with predominant flavors of leather and nuts. The only issue I had experienced was with and occasional harshness due to a larger stem in the filler however, this only occurred in a couple of smokes. I came back to order four more bundles but unfortunately, they were sold out. 4 5 1
