Cohiba Robusto I have enjoyed these for years and keep stocking the humidor with them. I find the draw good on almost all of them and they are very consistent. One time I A B'd one against the real Cohiba and found it a close second in comparison. The cost savings more then covers the difference. Great Smoke goes very well with coffee or even better with a chocolate flavored drink. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto I got 5 of these in a sampler pack and these may have been as good as the “alternative” Cuban Monte’s. Pretty good flavor and overall worth ordering again when on sale. I took the labels off and didn’t tell anyone what they were. Just handed them out and everyone liked them. When asked what they were I just said that they are some smokes I got a deal on. Other than the ash being a little ragged and falling off prematurely they are not too bad at all. Just don’t smoke them wearing a good shirt. Would be good on a golf course. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Like the cigar. Have smoked them for the last few years. However recently the smoke ...draw and flavor has been inconsistent. 3 5 1
Cohiba Robusto This cigar has wonderful construction burns very nicely has a great robust smell. It is very well made for its price however the taste was very odd and slightly unpleasant. I could not pinpoint what I was tasting. I am considering trying other JR Alternatives but will not order this one again. 3 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Tastes young these are going to need more time in my humidor to season properly. I expect them to improve. 3 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Just received a nice little bundle of these in the mail. Great smoke. For the price they can't be beat! 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto I love 'em! I liked them even better when they were under $30 but these really surprised me. I find them to be a completely enjoyable smoke with consistency throughout the bundle. I'll be buying more for sure. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Like WAL regarding his Cohiba Robusto review I was pleasantly surprised considering the price and size. As a long term cigar smoker I too have stuck with favorite cigars over the span of 20 plus years and have to admit I just might switch by daily routine up by mixing it up with these cigars. Joya de Nicaragua and San Lotano have been by go to cigars outside of my favorite lounge cigars but like WAL I was taken back by the scent of the in-lite cigar the ever changing scents/tastes from floral to cedar and yes a hint of coffee and vanilla which is the way I like to start my morning. I beg of everyone to listen to WAL regarding his review I agree 100% of everything he stated. I am leaving a couple of my go-to cigars behind and replacing them with this one. 3 5 1
Cohiba Robusto this has a good pull on the draw which makes the smoke nice and dense.the construction is great burns like it should no hot spots or flavor decrease.the flavor definitely hits the spot though for a great morning smoke has a slight peppery Hit with a bit of cream on the retro hale from the Honduran.and Nicaraguan nutty taste on the tip of the tongue and on the back its smooth and creamed from a Dominican tobacco but a great cigar all and all. Just remember every cigar has its own Identity.appreciate it 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Very good sticks. JR alternatives are a great choice. Non Expensive and with a good condtruction plus burns even. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto This has become my go to Jr alternative. Very consistent good flavor. Draw always perfect with a solid ash. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced daily smoke. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto it is not a Cohiba but for the price it would be hard to do better 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto This is an awesome smoke. Almost on par with the real ones that I pay over $20 a cigar for outside of the US. The burn is a little off but at these prices who really cares. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto This was my first order from JR cigars. I certainly hope this is not indicative of all future orders. Although the flavor is very good the cigars are extremely dry. When I cut into the first one it crumbled. About 15 minutes into the smoke it was falling apart. The second was a bit better. The third the same as the first. You can't enjoy the flavor if the dog gone thing is falling apart. 2 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Smooth draw dark wrapper slow burn nice solid white ash. I taste a leathery peppery smoke. To be enjoyed at leisure following a meal. Perfect match with a dark roast coffee. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto poorly constructed came apart in my hand.. inconsistent burn. 3 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Excellent 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto I just smoked my first JR Cohiba Robusto and all I can say smooth smoke all the way through. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto The burn on this cigar is very good. Closest to a Cohiba without the price . 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Perfect size. Great smoke ROTT. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto I've been smoking cigars for 40 years and can attest that this is one of the best full-bodied cigars you will ever buy regardless of cost. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Has a sharp/strong aroma and taste that makes it good for a last cigar after you've smoked others because it cuts through. Draw is slightly tight. Construction and consistency are as good as you will find. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto A nice little everyday smoke & you still get 20 in a bundle. Not 18 1510 where they tell you what a deal you getting for the price. It's a nice firm 50 ring cigar that will last you about 45 min.. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto the draw is generally very good some tighter than others but not too bad. doesnt vary that much as far as draw. construction almost always perfect. flavor wise is where i have issues. when I started buying these 6 years ago they were very good packed with flavor. quality in tobacco has gone down i seems and it is heavily evidenced in the flavor. prices seem to be going up while quality is going down. id rather pay more for higher quality in the flavor department. they are pretty consistent. 3 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Great smoke and for the everyday cigar this is the best bang for your buck. This order I sent to a good friend serving in Afghanistan to have with his officers at Cigar Night Fridays... 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto I bought these with no idea how good/bad they could be. I have now smoked half the bundle and I am impressed! A good draw nice ash and nice flavor. A great everyday smoke without the $$$$. My only negative is the cigar seems small (4.5 x 50) but smokes big. It would be outstanding as 5x56. Just wishing Santa. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto My after dinner go to. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Is one of my favorite 3 5 1
Cohiba Robusto This was a nice smoke. Medium and a good draw. Good breakfast cigar or by the fire. Consistent flavor Anyone that tried it loved it I'll order this one regularly 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto This is a great medium to full bodied cigar and an amazing value. Lots of good flavors this makes for a nice relaxing hour long smoke.. nice way to end a long day. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Took me a few to get use to them I'm not really a Cohiba fan so it took me awhile to get use to them but after a few i really liked them 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto I was looking for a decent every day smaller cigar that wouldn't hurt the pocketbook and this one did not disappoint. I rated the flavor at mediocre. Nothing really stood out as being stellar yet is was not too mild or bitter at all. The construction was quite good for an inexpensive cigar and they burned fairly evenly with minimal requirement for relighting. I would buy them again. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto This is a great smoke and a great value. Easy draw and subtle not too harsh taste. This is my daily smoke. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto This cigar wasn't worth the band placed on it. Lack of flavor was no. 1 reason. Don't waste your time. This bundle was returned. 1 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Seriously - these are a steal they smoke well taste great and are priced to compete. Make this your everyday smoke for sure. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto So this cigar is not a game changer but it is a definitely a good go-to cigar. It has always been consistent from my experience. They are on the shorter size so you can sneak one in a tight window if you don't have hours to devote to a smoke. It's definitely worth giving a shot! 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Great vale cigar. I commonly don't smoke value cigars I know this might offend some people but I often I just hold them and use them like any other cigar without lighting them. Usualy just around the house. But I say it's not a waste of a cigar they taste good and I enjoy them. These JRS don't bleed on my fingers and have good construction. I only buy the JR value brand. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto I buy this cigar for its size when I don't have a lot of time to sit with a larger size cigar like all the JR alternatives you can't beat the value. A very good cigar at a very good price. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Wrapping kind of fell apart on me when using a punch. Using a cutter was better this particular cigar. Otherwise not a bad alternative to similar higher prices cigars. 3 5 1
Cohiba Robusto This is a great smoke especially at the price. Well made firm but even draw great flavor. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto My go to cigar! Great value and great smoke. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto This is a wonderful budget cigar that (like stated from other reviews) is well worth the price. The draw taste and quality are very much like its Cuban counter part. Will be trying others from the site as well. Only con here is they are not actually Cubans. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Worst smoke I ever had in my 20 years of smoking cigars. Pass!! 1 5 1
Cohiba Robusto I have always smoked these cigars since I had my first order. The taste is awesome the burn is good never had an uneven burn yet. I got addicted to cigars while in the Army as a medic have had fresh cigars from all over. Ty Jr for an affordable and great taste cigars cheers 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto I am a little disappointed in these cigars. Not as much flavor I expected and the burn is very inconsistent. 1 5 1
Cohiba Robusto REVIEW J R Cigars J R Cuban Alternative Cohiba Robusto Reviewed By W.A. Lampley Jr. Twenty years ago I acquired a box of first quality Cuban Cohiba Robustos purchased in Madrid Spain. I have had two legendary cigars in my life. By that I mean two individual cigars. Out of boxes and samplers and travels and gifts and more than twenty years a litany of fine cigars...only two truly legendary cigars. The first was a simple little H Upmann out of an ordinary box I purchased in 1992. Out of the twenty very nice pleasant cigars in the box this One was a mystical magical once in a lifetime cigar which opened romantically like a box of love letters in an old woman's attic still redolent of the sachet she placed alongside the bundles of envelopes tied with satin ribbons. In the course of smoking the paltry 5-1/2 inch 45 ring gauge the bouquet of the cigar kept changing from floral to cedar to savory spices to coffee and chocolate crepe myrtle vetiver and vanilla and told stories of love and triumphs treasured over decades. The second was my first Cohiba Robusto which assaulted my senses and sensibilities. Compared to the Harlequin romance of that little H Upmann this Cohiba cigar was Tolstoy Margaret Mitchell. Hemingway and Fitzgerald. Sensually the entire box was on a par with that first Cohiba but for one thing...it was my first. As fulfilling as every other Cohiba has been you only get one 'First” of anything. Admittedly the H Upmann was a white buffalo. Something that rarely occurs and I was fortunate enough to experience it. But the Cohibas consistently surprised and satisfied me. They were always a great adventure. Over the years mind you I've enjoyed legendary experiences which were punctuated by a great cigar to mark the occasion. But for only these two was the cigar itself the legend the occasion. As I am retired and living on a small pension fixed income etc. I was struck by the J R Catalog pitch about smoking J R Alternatives with a bunch of retired fellas. You got me on that one. You spoke to me. So I decided to try one. I figured if this is any good at all I have to set my standard as high as possible for my experimental investment to compare just how the salesmanship measured up to the product so I chose the JRCOR the J R Cuban Alternative to the Cohiba Roubsto. Twenty years of reflection can either enhance or diminish the memory but you guys have come really close. Here is a cigar at a price (including shipping) of about 10% the cost of its namesake. and it delivers about 80% of its promise That's an outstanding deal. Thank you. The ring gauge of your JRCOR was disappointing because I remember the original as being somewhat fatter with a very open draw. On the other hand the construction on these sticks is medium firm squarish burning and fairly dependable. Heck even the originals could draw or burn capriciously on occasion. On balance the size doesn't really matter. I forgive you. Concerning the buzz...you know whether or not you can keep a meal down after one of these what diminishes in comparison is in this case a good thing. These are heady enough to keep you seated for a few minutes after finishing just to savor the afterglow but mercifully not as brutal as the original Cohiba Robusto which demanded that you have a meal first and temper the smoke with at least a beer or a rum and ginger to soften the blows of stepping into the ring with Sr. Fidel and Avelino Lara. The unlit cigar slipping out of the wrapper wafts pleasantly like newly fermented spring mulch recently spread over the garden. Fresh out of the bundle the cut was clean with few to no breaks in the skin and the cap came off whole. Lighting it takes a little patience and rotation to keep it square but once started it keeps a decent angle of incidence. The opening taste is peppery and makes the lips tingle slightly the tongue is bathed in earthy woody tones ripening toward coffee. (No Cr 3 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Good value for the money. Smooth smoke. Goes well with Jim Beam Black lable. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto I want a refund! 1 5 1
Cohiba Robusto I've been smoking these cigars for several years and enjoy the consistent quality and bold flavor. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto I found a good 5 pack deal on this cigar, so I decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised my this smoke. There was a good burn and easy draw for a cigar this price. The flavor was not what I call bold, but it was enjoyable. I will buy more when they come back into stock. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Excellent cigar, nothing else to say! 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto The Cohiba Cuban Robusto alternative is an outstanding value. At its regular price it's a good buy, on sale it can't be beat. Great construction and after about a two week acclimation period all the subtleties become evident. The taste and aroma are awesome. Going to get more. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto My go to economical priced cigar. Rich flavor and great construction make this a everyday smoke. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto This is my second bundle of JR Alternative cigars and had such a pleasant experience with the last batch that I was excited to light one of these up right away. I was not disappointed. Compared to a Cuban Cohiba it has an excellent well rounded flavor with little to no spice/pepper. It's rated as a medium to full... but I'd say its more full flavored which sets it apart from cubans....albeit, I like a strong rubusto sized stick for when I'm home so it's perfect. I usually reserve the longer medium body cigars for when I'm at a lounge and socializing. If you're an ash-master (playing chicken with the ash), this is a good one. I was talking around outside and the ash burned almost to the label. It didn't fall off until I needed to remove the label to continue smoking. Draw was uninhibited but not too lightly packed. Construction was top notch, no defects and burned evenly. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Great taste that lasts. I get a good ash and even burn. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto good daily cigar 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto This is a great cigar for the price. One of my favorites from JR 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Very enjoyable 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Been buying for years..my go too. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto My favorite 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Great cigar for the price. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto absolutely amazing sticks. I wouldn't want to smoke them right out of the shipping box, but after a few days in the humidor, these cigars have quickly become one of my favorite JT alternatives. I would totally recommend them. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto one of the best cigars in all attributes, including value. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto These are some good cigars for the price. The flavor is good all the way through and they burn nice and even. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Great everyday smoke !! 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto So I have purchased the JR ALTERNATIVEs as my everyday cigars because of the price and quality. This is a medium cigar w full flavor. Earthy, coffee, and little sweet. It's cubanesque w the same flavor Starts out a little nutty but then the rich aftertaste makes it stand out more than a mild. It's not overpowering which y u can smoke this morning and lunch and has enuf kick to enjoy in the evening. The price point is perfect and I go to these over my top shelf. From what I've tried I like the SIGLO, then the robusto, then Montecristo #1, then WAVELL..I also tried the RP EDGE but that's not all day. Get these for all day, save the top shelf for once a night or special times 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto What’s weird is the taste. Like smoking a Covina. Recommended to Cohibia Smokers. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto this cigar surpringly is a very good smoke 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Nice cigar, good taste, easy draw, for the price a great everyday cigar. I would recommend if you like a good cigar everyday but don't want to pay a crazy price 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Great everyday smoke. 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Very solid stick 5 5 1

Cohiba Robusto Good construction and draw, nice aroma, but unfortunately lacking in flavor. This is the first of the JR Alternative smokes that I would rate poorly, I have enjoyed all the others I have tried, but no repeat purchase here. 2 5 1
Cohiba Robusto What a cigar! This stick has it all. For the money, you can't go wrong. It's a steal... 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Typically I like a robusto this seems harsher than what I'm used to. Just wasn't as smooth as I expected. 2 5 1
Cohiba Robusto Do not remove it 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto I like the cigar but there often are two or three that are wrapped to tight and that makes them hard to draw. 3 5 1

Cohiba Robusto During the quarantine they saved me. Ordered up a bunch of different jr cigars filled my humidors. Been enjoying since. Worth the price 5 5 1
Cohiba Robusto 45 min of pleasure, balanced price, taste and price. 4 5 1
Cohiba Robusto This cigar is magestic. The best priced cigar I have ever had at this price. Taste better than any other robusto. Best cigar in the JR Cuban Alternative selection. Not too dark or dirty tasting like other bargain cigars. I would reccomend buying 20 of these every time you make an order. End smell is great. 5 5 1
