Royal Jamaica Corona This is a great cigar. I've been smoking Royal Jamaican cigars since 1976 when I spent a year in Jamaica. The JR Alternative RJ is as good as the original and sells for a fraction of the branded cigar. 5 5 1

Royal Jamaica Corona I feel there are two types of ratings, one for budget cigar and one for premium cigars. As a budget cigar these get a five star. Good taste at light up, burn was great, and had smooth smoke and plenty of it. But I did feel like these need to sit a while in the humidor, in the last third it wanted to get a little harsh something I think would be fix with some sitting time. I will get them again to put back and age. 5 5 1

I was really happy when I found these alternatives but found them to be a disappointment. They more often than not have a very uneven burn and are stronger than I expected them to be. 3 5 1

Looking through the JR Cigars catalog I saw they had their own version so I was excited to try them and another Royal Jamaica alternative they had. I found these to be a bit overwhelming, to say the least, and nothing like the original product I remember. A problem they also seemed to have consistently was a very uneven burn.
