Rothschilde I was traveling through NC and stopped in at the Burlington store I bought a box of these because it looked like a good deal and I love maduros. When I opened them to put them in the humidor I took one out of the cellophane it was covered in mold green mold so I opened 3 more all covered in mold. Called customer service and since I bought them at the store I now have to pay to send them back to the store for replacement another $14 what a crock. I guess the moral of the story is open your boxes before leaving the store and check them out and make sure you didn't buy a box of s**t. Thanks JR. 1 5 1
Rothschilde Cedar wood sweet spice and a dry finish characterize this fine smoke. Wrappers are fragile so take care cutting and smoking. My favorite Upmann and favorite size for this blend. 4 5 1

Rothschilde I had the pleasure of receiving one of the in a sampler. I was impressed with the flavor profile. Lots a cedar and a sweet cream. At the half picked a few medium roast coffee notes and chocolate. Good draw and flawless construction. 4 5 1

Rothschilde I've been enjoying the Upmann Banker Annuity, thought I'd try a different offering. No disappointment here. I'll admit I prefer the Banker, but this Special Selecion is a fine smoke as well. Flavourful, great draw, nice ash. I've had about 6-7 from the box, and so far, only one has had a slight draw issue and uneven burn. That one needed some torch work to even out and a bit of a relight. Otherwise, I could see these becoming a fairly regular stick in my humidor. Not replacing the Banker, but adding to them. 4 5 1

Rothschilde Over the past 18-24 months the quality of the cigar has declined. The cap leaf peels off, the draw has become poor or at least inconstant , and the wrapper leaf unravels regularly. When they cigars started coming without a band under the outer band and cedar wrap it became even worse. Also, sealed boxes came very dry about the same time they were no longer nailed shut. It’s a shame that the price went up as the quality went down. 2 5 1
Rothschilde This is a decent cigar. Good construction and a nice burn. Not too strong so great for a fairly new cigar smoker up to the immediate level. Ash was consistent throughout. I’ll be getting these again as long as the price is right. 4 5 1
Rothschilde Fully one-third of these are too plugged to smoke, even after long dry-box time. I just pre-clipped a new box, and tossed nine. As much as these cost, I expect better construction and consistency. Stick with the Crown Imperial, Souvenir, or After Dinner, or just buy a box of White Owls. At least you can smoke them!! 2 5 1
Rothschilde Not a very good cigar from this well known house.The brazil part of the filler is noticeable and not very tasty...kinda flat. 3 5 1
