Toro If you are sensitive to the differences between one size of a blend and another then you know there is a sweet spot in every blend. This habano wrapper is strong enough to seriously alter each size flavor profile. In my opinion, the 60 gage is just too little, the Lonsdale just a tad too much. While I've not tasted the petite corona (best size for the Maduro btw), I find the habano toro the best balance. This is a very fine cigar, burns slow, usually provides plenty of smoke, dead center medium on strength and a rather unique rich, slightly spicy, slightly leathery, very slightly roast flavor that you can easily fall into for an hour or so. 5 5 1

Foundation Charter Oak Habano

Toro 6 × 52 FCCOHT

Foundation Charter Oak Habano Toro cigars are the second installment to brand owner Nick Melillo’s highly popular Charter Oak line. These solidly packed (6 x 50) Toro’s are named after the beautiful Habano wrapper covering a well-aged blend of Nicaraguan binder and long filler tobacco. By using a rich Habano wrapper, Charter Oak has filled the profile gap between the Connecticut Shade and the Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro varietals found on the original offering. You can expect a slow burning medium bodied smoke laced with delicious flavors of black pepper, cedar, leather, and cocoa, all rounded out with plenty of tobacco sweetness on the finish. A very affordable price, top-notch construction, and a well-deserved 92-point rating from Cigar Afficionado, makes Charter Oak Habano Toro worthy of a permanent home in your humidor.
