Gigante The smooth, mellow-medium bodied flavor is as described, with the maduro wrapper & sherry barrel aged, Brazilian binder providing a unique sweetness. Great construction, consistency, & slightly tight draw; with a firm, white ash. The dark brown, Connecticut Maduro wrapper is expertly finished and, despite being a thicker leaf, provides an even burn that rarely needs touching-up. The Gigante is noticeably mellower and less dimensional than its smaller ring siblings. Personally, I prefer the 6x50 Toro or, even more so, any from the Whiskey Row Bourbon Barrel-Aged lineup. 4 4 1
Gigante Would have been 5 stars except customer service wants me to ship back a Boveda bag that won't zip shut that cost $10. Simply replace the item with a new one guys! The shipping back to JR will cost almost as much as a replacement. Otherwise, the order was well above expectations. 3 4 1
