This is tied for my favorite pipe tobacco of all time, right up there with Escudo, and then SJF from Sam Gawith. The only complaint I have with this blend is that it carries a premium price tag. I bought 20 tins when JR had their 30% deal a week or so ago. That's how good this blend is. Absolutely amazing with even just a couple years on it. Cellar this one deep if you like straight VA flakes. With the FDA looming, prices are nearly guaranteed to only rise from here out. Buy now, or don't and I'll buy all of it! Actually, don't buy it, so that way I can stock up pounds and pounds of this amazing tobacco!

Tobaccos Capstan Original and Capstan Gold are both great. Some call Capstan Original “Capstan Blue” because of the tin. They have been around forever because they are so great and will continue to be around forever because they are blends that people keep coming back to after trying different blends.
