Robusto This is a good stick that's made well the burn was better than the AB Sundown but the flavor was lacking in my opinion. It started off with a nice thick deep dense smoke and there were hints of Earth Leather and sweet tobacco. At the second third of the Toro the flavor dropped out never to return. What was left was a tunneling irregular burn and a worsening raw harsh P.O.S. I know that it's not a fair test of any cigar to base a bias on the performance of one stick. I'll be glad to set a few aside and give them a second or third try so I can make a fully informed evaluation in the future. Keep rocking the industry AB and as always thanks JR. IMHO Xxx 4 5 1
Robusto While this is far from a bad cigar I found that it leaves me wanting just a little more. While the flavor is good every three cigars or so I found myself having construction problems with the burn. Overall this is a great smoke for the price but if I always had to pay the MSRP for this one I would be pretty disappointed. 3 5 1

Robusto I'm glad I didn't leave a review based on the first one I smoked because it was really harsh. I let the other 4 rest in the humi for a couple months and what a difference. Very full flavored with great leather and pepper flavors yet pretty smooth. As with all the other Bradleys I've had the construction/draw was great. I agree with the other reviews that say this is a med-full to full flavored stick rather than medium. It is much stronger than the Prensado which they classify as full. And as usual I got them at a great price on auction. 4 5 1

Robusto Started up on cigars about six months ago and have experimented with many brands sizes and shapes. Hands down the Alec Bradley Black Market Robusto stands way out in front in my opinion. Excellent construction perhaps enhanced by its full paper wrapper. A pleasing light peppery flavor on the lips followed by a pleasant fruity finish at the back of the tongue. Robusto The Black Market line from Alec Bradley is an awesome line of cigars. The flavor profile is great and rarely have I had a blend where no matter the size it developed so similar but this smoke does just that. 4 5 1
Robusto This is a fun smoke. Lots of different flavors from different tobaccos. The transitions from one flavor to the next leave room for improvement and this is definitely not a $30 stick but it doesn't claim to be. Robusto Like most cigar smokers I am constantly on the lookout for my new favorite GO TO cigar. The La Gloria Cubana Serie R Esteli has been at the top of my list for some time. The Alec Bradley Black Market just took over the first position. Excellent burn even when playing golf. Ash holds up to the wind and does not break down like many cigars on the golf course. From the first draw to the last I enjoy every stage of this cigar. I'll admit to burning my index and ring fingers a few times. These are that good!! Enjoy. 5 5 1
Robusto Bought these at auction. Got a 5 pack. Extremely good price. Was super excited as cigar was lit with a spice on the younger and lips and mellowed to a woody spice finishes. This has to be one gar you need to experience. i could make this an everyday smoke. Little tooth with nice leather feel and a little vein. 5 5 1

Robusto I picked up one of these at a local purveyor because of how much I have heard about them. I am a fan of the medium strength gar because of the difficulty in finding balance between strength and flavor is a good indicator of the quality of a cigar label. And finding the perfect balance is heaven to me. I have heard a lot about the quality of Alec Bradley and from the start this cigar didn't disappoint. Just the appearance of the stick is beautiful and screams quality. Chocolate brown without any and I mean any soft or hard spots and a flawless wrapper without any discolorations. Upon lighting I found the draw a tad bit tight but not eye-crossing and the burn was consistent and even producing a tenacious white flakey ash without any canoeing or tunneling. I did however have to re-light it several times but that was my fault and not the gar's as I was deep in discussion while smoking it. From the unlit smell of the cigar through the shaking and pounding at the end to get as much smoke out of it as possible it is true to it's name and billing: Cubanesque. I have had a Cuban Montecristo #2 and others and this thing tastes every bit as Cuban as those did. The only knock I have on it in the flavor department is that within 2 inches of the band it began to take on a bit of harshness and I remember being angry about it because it had been such a great smoke until then. And then I remembered that I only paid $7.00 for it. The harshness that I described is normally eliminated on sticks costing $10.00 or more. But the general flavors remained consistent all the way through the last embers of it. A truely fantastic cigar for the price and in my rating system I would put it at a 91 overall. 4 5 1

Robusto The only reason I did not give this cigar 5 stars on flavor is because there is nothing really unusual or exotic about it. However there are zero defects. There is no bitterness. The smoke is good from the first puff to the last. Most important to me - this cigar is satisfying because it is full and rich with no hint of any harshness from the beginning to the end. I have tasted better - but not by much - and when I did - the price was triple. 4 5 1

Now that I have smoked one i wish i would have bought 20. This has to be one of the best smoking cigars. Draw was spot on as it was not to tough yet not to giving. Construction was flawless. Slight tooth and vein. Consistent white ash throughout. Great spice right out of the gate that transformed into a mild mid. Mid was a touch harsh for a second but then mellowed into a nice relaxing nutty wood flavor that kept the Cuban like spice on the lips. I will be back.!!! 5 5 1

Robusto Dark wrappered well constructed stick with balanced and delicious notes of savory beef, cashews and roasted almonds, leather and creamy dark sweet chocolate. Just enough spice to keep it interesting without overpowering things bringing notes of salt and mild black pepper with a tang of citrus peel and nutmeg. Balanced and delicious this was a very enjoyable stick paired with a medium sweet sherry (Osborne). The combination of savory and sweet is spot on yummy. Good draw and burn with notes of sweet tobacco, creamy sweet coffee and a hint of earthiness. The retro adds a bit of spice to the mix. Very well balanced of flavor.
