La Mission

aarontaubman on 09/11/15

This is the best new cigar of 2015 bar none. These are perfect right out of the box. San Andres wrapper. Excellent Filler and Binder. Out of My Father Factory, needs no rest time but only gets better with age.

L'Atelier Little Guy

These are outstanding cigars and overall have chocolate and raw earthy tobacco flavors with a subtle spice. Coffee and caramel can be tasted as well.

A real pleasure

Read Carefully on 04/03/16

Seasoned cigar smoker that simply likes great cigars, this is one...well, probably the best smoke outside a '99 true-Habano Cohiba rubusto! Happened upon this smoke on a humbug from a ~80 year old Marine that likes full bodied cigars. His point, "Listen son, this is a head-banger without the headache; full-bodied; flavors of stuff you've smoked, but can't figure out what it is; perfect light and draw; and a go-to smoke you've never heard of. Well, let's just confirm one thing, "Seniors know what they're talking about, so listen!" First introduced to this great smoke on Friday afternoon, smoked 3 of each offering (9 total) and writing this review on Sunday evening. You'd have to be slow if you don't get it by know!

La Mission 1959

aarontaubman on 11/07/15

On my 3rd box and the quality is superior. No changes since the first release. These are by far one of the best releases of 2015. The 1959 is the best Vitola by far! I do notice some very loose draws. Easily remedy with a V-cut to tighten the draw. The Sancti Spiritus tobacco really is the nuts and bolts to this cigar. Love the pepper and the awesome flavor. This is an exciting smoke at an affordable price, I don't think you will find a cigar of this caliber at this price point. Thanks JR's for continuing to keep this in Stock. Will be buying more!

Top Rated for a Reason

The Major on 05/15/17

There's a reason why this was one of Cigar Aficianado's Top 25 Cigars in 2015. It's just perfect in so many respects, including my go-to stogie when I'm grilling out.

A Piece of Maduro Heaven

Nowhereman on 04/06/17

If you like Robusto vitolas, read what I'm writing. For 2016 there are only a few Robustos I consistently smoke. The CLE Prieto, the AB Prensado, the quattro F55 and this one, The La Mission by L'Atelier in 1959 which I feel strongly is their best vitola. The combination of flavors ranging from leather, spice, cocoa and even anise will keep anyone interested who loves Maduro wraps. Burn is near perfect, smoke is full intoxicating in a nice way. The price is more than reasonable and this is my 1st choice when pairing with wine. It has sac, if you know what I mean so have a nice meal 1st. A true joy to smoke, grab a box if you can because I know they will go quickly.

Earthy

atllogix on 01/05/17

This isn't a bad cigar but you need to enjoy that earthy kind of dark profile to enjoy it. If you don't you may feel let down.
