Toro Good cigar 4 5 1 July 21, 2020 Cary
Toro 16FEB2021 - I smoked this from a sampler collection that my son gave to me last night. I didn't see any indication on the wrapper of the national origin of this cigar, but appreciate the details found on jrcigars.com. This was my first Alec Bradley. It cut nicely, but then a few leaves peeled off during the smoke, no big deal. There didn't seem to be much chopped filler in this cigar, only one bit of tobacco came out. The wrapper was a darker shade, closer to, but not quite, a maduro. I thought the draw was about a medium, maybe a little harder at the beginning, but pretty firm down to the last. Good tobacco flavors but on two puffs, one early, and one late, I caught undesirable flavors. The first was a formaldehyde-like chemical note, briefly, the latter was more of a gunpowder-sulfur aroma just after a spark from the cherry. I would give this series a try going forward if I can get it at a better price. It was an overall good smoke, long ash, consistent, even burn, and good tobacco flavors. 4 5 1 February 17, 2021 Varrick N.
