The first to market is called Project Broadleaf Skywalker. The 6x48 Parejo is made of Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Mexican San Andrés binder and filler tobacco from Honduras and Nicaragua. Only 100 boxes, each containing 50 cigars, are in existence. The next is called Project Broadleaf Boartamer, which is a 5.25x52 smoke comprised of Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Jalapa, Nicaragua binder and filler tobacco from both Nicaragua and Honduras. Only 500 bundles of 10 are currently in production. The Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, which already offers a distinct rich and earthy flavor, with notes of cedar, spice and leather, is prepared specially for this project. Each leaf has been aged for between three and three and a half years, with an additional year of fermentation between stages. The effort adds an additional layer of maturity and complexity that takes the taste of these cigars to the next level.
