Quillon I did not like this cigar at all I could not even get past the first quarter. Flavor was very strange I could not even place it. Reminded me of a “corked” bottle of wine. Good draw construction was nice just took it off of my wish list. 3 5 1

Quillon I could tell you about the earthy tones and the peppery taste from time to time but I would rather just say this is as great cigar! If you are not a Monte fan you still need to try this one. Quillon The construction of the Montecristo Espada plays into my overall thoughts on the cigar. While the smoke had a nice woody profile and the last third was the most enjoyable. However the burn issues of the first two-thirds were just too much to overcome. I might give the cigar another chance from a different box but for now this is a cigar that I just can’t recommend. The only saving grace for me was the last third of the smoke. 3 5 1

Quillon Very nice smoke this one is a keeper. This one is the first out of the box for me and just like any other Monte it is a great smoke. I typically smoke the white labels and found the construction draw and burn to be equally as good. I did find it just a tad bit harsh till it warmed up for me but after that it was a pleasure. Quillon the Espada was enjoyable from start to finish. A perfect draw, lead to notes of cedar and mild floral notes upfront and finishes with fresh earth and espresso. The burn was also consistent throughout, only have to touch up the cigar once (probably my fault when toasting, I was having a blast in the moment). 5 5 1

Quillon This smoke turned out to be an enigma, when I first slowly lit it, I had quite a bite. As I got into it it became much better. The only other complaint was a very coarse ash. Those things aside I enjoyed this cigar. Slightly toward the bold side, but mellow and smooth. I will probably buy it again, but I have had other cigars in this price range that seemed to burn a little better. Overall I was say it is a pretty good smoke. Wished I could say it was perfect. 4 5 1
Quillon The wrappers are all cracked, I assume from drying out. The little bovada pack included in the cigar box was completely dried out so I would guess these were not handled correctly somewhere along the line. 1 5 1
