Perdomo Reserve No. 2 Smoke starts off ok, but is only good through about 1/3rd, then taste goes. Not a good cigar. 2 5 1
Perdomo Reserve No. 2 Ok. If you are ordering cigars by mail you need to plan to put them in a humidor for a week at least. These came looking like dehydrated baby toads, tasted like a homeless man hand rolled me a Bugler cigarette while dripping sweat, it looked like an over stuffed cheech and Chong joint. I thought people must be warned...I certainly didn't get what the other reviewers did! Then I said wait....maybe a miracle will happen in my humidor. Night n f'n day! They puffed right up. Tasted down right decent and the ask burned in a somewhat orderly fashion. Well they are small, maybe 52 at the widest spot. You really have to want to take tiny puffs to enjoy them due to the small conical structure. The do have a very clove and cinnamon flavor. Almost a pumpkin spiced cigar.....sounds like I should try one with coffee tomorrow. Anyway...really interesting unique shape and flavor and in the end functioned as designed...just not great for a guy who like a big cigar with lots of smoke and flavor. 4 5 1
Perdomo Reserve No. 2 I rarely write negative reviews, especially when it comes to JR Alternatives, but this experience genuinely left me confused and concerned. . . . After reading numerous positive reviews describing notes of vanilla and nuts, along with a medium profile, I felt confident enough to purchase two bundles. That decision makes this review even more important, because my experience could not have been more different. I smoked the first cigar after resting them in my humidor for one week. The result was disappointing. The cigar burned quickly, came across as harsh, and felt significantly stronger than advertised, without the flavor depth to support that strength. The notes described by others simply were not present. There was no vanilla, no nuttiness, and very little balance overall. Assuming the issue could be youth or condition, I gave the cigars more time. One month passed, then two, then several more. Even after six full months in a properly maintained humidor, the experience remained unchanged. The harshness persisted, the burn remained inconsistent, and the flavor profile never developed into what had been described. This review is not a reflection of JR as a company. In fact, this is the first time I have had this kind of experience with a JR Alternative. My overall history with JR has been the opposite. Many of their alternatives have been excellent, dependable, and an outstanding value. I regularly enjoy both super premium cigars and everyday options, and JR has consistently delivered in that space. That said, this particular blend missed the mark in a way that surprised me. Given how many reviews mention smoothness, vanilla, and nutty notes, I cannot help but wonder if there is inconsistency between batches or if something else is at play. For the price, JR Alternatives are still one of the best values in cigars. Unfortunately, this Nicaraguan Alternative to the Perdomo Reserve No. 2 was not one of the successes, at least in my experience. . . . . 2 5 1

Perdomo Reserve No. 2 Smooth, light but flavorful. The construction is unique which actually makes it fun to smoke. Once you light the tip the cigar settles in for a smooth draw the entire length. This isn't a cigar where you need to torch the end for a few minutes. The easy draw and mild would be a 20 - 30 minute smoke depending on your style. Nice patio smoke, prior to heading out or after dinner. 5 5 1

Perdomo Reserve No. 2 I know this isn't supposed to be a replica of the hemingway short story, but man its just as good. The draw is perfect every time, construction is great, and the flavor is on par. The whole package of 20 I bought were all perfect. I appreciate this, because the other replicas I buy are not as consistent in quality. These are top notch though. 5 5 1

Perdomo Reserve No. 2 I’m an everyday smoker, enjoying a wide variety of Honduran, Nicaraguan, and Dominican cigars; shying away from strong maduros. This is a rich, mellow and aromatic smoke that is not bitter, enjoyable with tea, coffee or hot cocoa on a cold. It takes two cutters to liberate them for smoking, but I think you’ll find the experience enjoyable; smooth, good draw and flavor and consistent construction at a reasonable price point. I wish I would get these in my Christmas Stocking! 5 5 1
