Apehanger Not usually a big ring Guage cigar smoker but this was well worth it. Flavor bomb with little strength. First two thirds was a nice sweet smooth creamy coffee with no bite or spice. The last third was a deep dark roast coffee. 5 5 1

Apehanger Flat cap which is cool thick red espresso brown wrapper very nice and oily. Notes of Dark cocoa earth and cedar. Let it sit for a sec and cold draw gets you espresso beans dark chocolate and sweet raisin. Great stick 5 5 1

Apehanger All the 5 CAO Flathead Steel Horse Apehanger cigars I bought from JR are hollow inside with a "plug" on each end. The burn harsh and are so hot you can't smoke them because they are hollow inside. 1 5 1

Apehanger CAO fell off for a while vit they got back into the swing of things starting with the Osa Sol. Moving forward and the Flathead keeps it going! Very surpised at this but I guess I shouldn't be since it was hitting some Top 10 list. 4 5 1

Apehanger I wanted to like this smoke but there were a couple of issues... The first - it was a bit tight and the draw wasn't amazing. The second... The burn wasn't consistent and I had a bit of boating throughout. I don't want to say every cao flathead is like the one I smoked and I may have just picked up a dud. 3 5 1

Apehanger This is an excellent cigar for those who prefer a bit of "oomph" in their smoke. Full of flavor right off the bat and perfect for after dinner. I would say it's medium-full bodied because it's slightly less powerful than some of the heavy-hitters out there. Still make sure you're ready for something more significant. If you have some experience with cigars give this one a try. It's perfect for those veterans of the leaf! 4 5 1
Apehanger I got this in one of my monthly 6 and never heard of it. I wanted to clear some humidor space so I grabbed the flathead steelhorse apehanger. Gave it a vee cut and fired it up. My go to cigars are Boneshakers, nubs and masterblend 3’s as a point of reference. To the cigars credit it was cold and windy so I expected an uneven burn and I smoked it hard because I was freezing thus an occasional touch up was necessary. I was shocked at medium to full because this cigar in my opinion was strong. It burned great considering the weather conditions and gave me a bit of a nicotine buzz which rarely happens. I gave it 4 stars only because it’s a bit soft and I’m a biter but the cap held up fairly well. Smoking it made me want to hop on my Roadglide and ride it like I stole it. For the price point it’s underrated. I hope I get another one in my next couple of monthly shipments so I can enjoy it in nicer weather. It’s stronger than the Boneshakers which is an accomplishment. 4 5 1
