1958 Sesenta I have been smoking cigars since my 20's I'm 66 now and my taste are maduro full bodied cigars. I judge a smoke by how long it stays lit how much ash sits on the tip before it drops off of its own accord the volume of smoke construction (does it fall apart) and the taste. My review: It takes one 1.5 match to light one of these cigars and they remain lit. Volumes of smoke I like that. The flavor is not as full bodied as I like but it has a refined smooth flavor and is a light to medium body. My only dislike is that I like to remove the label once my cigar ash reaches that point of the cigar but these labels will not peel away allowing the smoker to smoke beyond that point. attempting to do so will make the cigar fall apart. This is a good choice if you enjoy light to medium bodied cigars. buy the 5-pack to try them out before buying a box. 3 5 1
1958 Sesenta Never had a Cuban before but wow this was a good cigar. Didn't even let them acclimate (I'm impatient) and it really surprised me. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta Pre Embargo 1958 is a good stick loaded with smooth flavor and no bitterness. Ages very well in the humi. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta Took a chance and I'm glad I did. Solid construction no burn issues. Good flavor but not over the top. I will add these to the humi again. 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta Very tasty cigar full of smooth flavor with a mellow finish a little spicy at the end a great cigar to enjoy while playing golf and a cold drink!! 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta Great smoke out put almost looks like you were vaping. A litte on the firm side for my preference but not too bad. Love the flavor 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta I bought these when I visited the store years ago. Have thought about buying them many times since but the price has gone up significantly since. I bought these to make up to a price for freebies. I like them just not for the price point. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta As close as it gets to Cohiba made in CubaIt drives well it tastes good and the smoke is wonderful 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta Disappointed with this cigar. Dried out wrappers cracked from the start. My buddies that are big Maduro cigar smokers thought it was weak. The wrappers we're not oily and dried out. The wrappers were cracking before the cigar was lit. I have 2 left will leave them in the humidor and see if they get better. My first disappointment from JR Cigars in 3 years. 1 5 1
1958 Sesenta First cigar I smoked I didn't like. The second and third were great. I really liked this cigar. I am a punch smoker with an occasional LaGloria series 5. I found this cigar a very happy and enjoyable smoke. Would consider it very good. Flavor tasty and smooth. Wish each cigar lasted longer. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta I tried a five pack of these before I bought a box. The five pack was very good so I bought the box of 25. Opening the box I discovered many of the cigars with the wrapper coming off and several with serious blemishes. Those are on the way back. It is a decent cigar but was disappointed with the quality. 2 5 1
1958 Sesenta One of my favorites easy draw even burn and great taste !!! A main staple in my humidor. 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta Great cigar. Priced nicely. Smoking these for years. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta This cigar has become one of my go-to sticks. Earlier they had some construction problems (loose wrappers) which seem to have been fixed with recent purchases. Flavor has always been top-notch for me. I always give them a few days in the humidor but I could smoke them right out of the box. Burn is medium slow and I have seldom hit a hard spot. For the money they are tops. I would spend more for these. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta Ok its been one year and I gotta say these are one of my regular good ones. I just got done smoking a premium cigar that I had to dispose of after it unravelled to the point of being unsmokable and I reached for my Pre-Embargo (ELSE25). Comparing the two I had to give an update: The draw is easy and the taste is strong. The construction is great and stays lit with a long ash that falls at about one inch sometimes longer. Im buying another box or two instead of the premiums that were twice as expensive and were a headache. 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta HAS EXCELLENT DRAW WITH A NICE EVEN BURN ENJOYED GREAT FLAVOR FOR ALMOST TWO HOURS WILL TRY TO ALWAYS HAVE THESE ON HAND !!! 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta I had my first 1958 Sesenta (6 × 60) a couple days ago at a casino bar playing video poker and I am looking forward to more. This big boy lasted 2 hours or so and delivered a fine maduro smoke all the way to a short nub. Many cigars start getting nasty toward the end but not this one. I also got some 1958 Maximo's (6 × 50) and am anxious to try one of those. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta Same favorable reliable smooth smoke as the rest of the line with the added benefit of the perfect size. Take the time to light it right and enjoy the smoke. 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta A really good cigar. I've had my share of good cigars and let me tell you my friends this is a really good cigar. My cigar experience started about 10 years ago while in the military. So I had $1 sticks up to $35 sticks. Not including the sticks I acquired while at Guantanamo Bay. Again my friends this is a really good cigar. I rated it as a mild full flavor smoke. Yes it's well constructed burns well & the flavor changes a bit between 3rds etc....Try it. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta This is a cheap cigar in both flavor and construction. I am very upset I paid so much for the 5 pack and I am upset because I read the reviews and thought I had found a gem...well I didn't. The cigar has that cheap paper taste you get from machine cigars and leaves a terrible taste in your mouth (this is the criteria for me vs a good cigar). I don't how else to explain it other than it is just not that good. If they are on sale for around 10 bucks sure! But at the 18 dollar price this is a total rip off. These cigars are not good AT ALL. I would avoid at all cost at this price 1 5 1
1958 Sesenta I bought a box of these cigars this past October after reading some good reviews. I let them sit in my humidor for a week before smoking my first. Evidently a week was not long enough. I wasn't too enthusiastic about the experience but knew that I should let them age a little before really giving it a review. Today I pulled one out and lit it up. Wow! What a difference. Time is a good thing with this cigar. I really enjoyed the balanced taste very smooth. I've been looking for a cigar that satisfies both in taste and construction. I can't spend $$ every time I want a good smoke and for the price these are excellent. I will be buying another box once these are gone. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta Can't wait to compare it to the real thing. This might be the closest thing to a genuine Cuban 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta I buy this cigar regularly. It is one of my favorites for a good smoke. Consistent. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta A great cigar espcially for the price. I have smoke these for years. Nice draw doesn't burn hot and I love the 6 X 60 size. Does yourself a favor and try these. Good Luck 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta a great cigar all around but I have my hopes up that someday they will stop the wrappers from splitting 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta Update: I let the box rest since June and the flavors have gotten even better. It seems to have evened out however there is still an occasional relight needed to keep smoking. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta Not really happy with this selection. Flavor feels a bit off and had to keep relighting the whole way down. Was almost bitter at the end 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta Spicy start that grows smoother through the smoke. Tasty finish. Easy draw but somewhat inconsistent burn. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta My go to every day smoke! Consistently full bodied with a peppery finish. Best smoke for the money on the market! 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta Very well made with a good draw and tight ash. Burns well and more of a full flavor than the other counterfeit cuban that I reviewed but well made also. Taste is subjective but this is becoming a favorite that tastes better the longer its in my humidor. 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta This cigar has to be one of my favorite so far. The flavors in this thing are phenomenal. I liked it so much I bought 10 more I highly recommend this stick. It's wonderful 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta Perfect!! These are without a doubt some of the best tasting best smoking cigars! No doubt! Always a staple in my box. 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta I like the flavor and I like big ring cigars generally. The draw is almost always better. These are nice but recently the wrappers split more frequently than they should. 3 5 1
1958 Sesenta little dried out but still pretty good. i guess i expected a better cigar for the price. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta It is the cigar I go to for my everyday smoke. Great draw great taste. I would recommend this cigar to everyone and I Have. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta A smooth consistent cigar everytime. It has become my favorite 'go to' cigar for every day pleasure. 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta draw and flavor are excellent so my hopes were met until a quarter way through the cigar it split. and split bad destroying the cigar 3 5 1
1958 Sesenta I smoked cubans and this is not similar in taste profile, however construction and draw is much better. Leather cedar notes all over and very pleasing stick, deserve high rating on its own right Aljanabi 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta Good smoke for the price. Solid. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta Nice taste. Really nice smoke for the money. Been ordering these for years. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta This cigar burns well, is smooth and is a perfect cigar after a meal. It is priced well and I recommend it highly. You will not be disappointed. 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta I would share the good, the bad, and the ugly on this cigar but there really is no "good" to be told. The cigar was like a gag that fell apart faster than a bookcase from IKEA. Terrible construction; so much so that I can't really speak to the flavor palate because I was not able to get much from this group of cigars. Will not purchase again. 1 5 1
1958 Sesenta I took a chance and tried a 5-pack to see how they were. The flavor and burn were satisfactory, but on all 5 cigars the wrapper came apart. I placed them in my humidor for 2 weeks to ensure condition, however again, the wrappers did not impress me. The wrapper is thin and cracks then unravels. I have found that the wrappers on the Honduran and Nicaraguan Seconds are better. I would recommend that the factory change to a better wrapper. This would improve the cigars and provide smokers with a solid economical cigar. 3 5 1

1958 Sesenta I enjoy this cigar. For the cost it's really good. Natural no frills taste. Most are wrapped well and burn even. The kind of cigar I can keep in the humidor as a daily smoker. 4 5 1
1958 Sesenta I will start by saying that I am a 1 year cigar newb that my good friend got me into and love smoking cigars now (reformed cigarette smoker). I have been through what seems like a ka-zillion 5 packs trying to find a nice balance of flavor, draw, consistency and price.. I have been through Cohibas, Davidoffs, Romeo Julieta's, Joya reds among countless others and have to say that this 1958 Sesenta is my absolute favorite.. While I still enjoy some of the others that I mentioned I much prefer the 58's... While still learning the tastes and how to focus on them I will say I like the medium to full flavor (probably move up to full later) is fantastic and I like that its not too peppery and the draw is perfect with thick white smoke.. While I did have 1 cigar that had a bad draw (spiked a kabob stick through problem solved) also had a cigar that had a blow-out about half way through. While disappointing I refuse to give this anything less than a 5 star rating.. I think people that give bad reviews for 1 or 2 little things like that do an injustice to that cigar. Now if i paid $25 for one and it did that I would def give a poor review.. As far as the price I believe its par for the course.. Its not a $3 cigar but you also get what you pay for.. Well anyways take what I said here with a grain of salt if you'd like but I figured I would give this cigar my honest opinion... Matt 5 5 1
1958 Sesenta Good flavor but wrapper started unraveling 2 5 1
1958 Sesenta Smooth long lasting and a great size , the woody flavor is right up my line what I enjoy! You will benefit from how darn smooth this cigar is ! 5 5 1
