I can't speak to the flavors or quality of the cigars as I said I plan on keeping them around for a bit before smoking them. I am thoroughly impressed with the tins and the box! 5 5 1

Partagas Decadas Limited Reserve 1998 Gift Set I love these cigars and couldn't wait for them to get here. I opened them up as soon as they were delivered. I pulled out a cigar cut it and watched the wrapper crack in three places from the cap down. The cigar was too dry (47 by my humidity gauge). I put the other two in my humidor to rehumidify. I don't know if being in the metal pocket case kept the humidity out but something did. Now my only two cigar purchase became very costly. 5 5 1
Partagas Decadas Limited Reserve 1998 Gift Set I bought a boatload of these on sale for $ 12. It has a beautiful metal case and three very good cigars. They were obviously well kept. Rolled excellently and easy draw. Burned even. Medium-full body yet stays smooth. Tasty hints of toasty nutty flavors. JR runs great specials and I always check them out when I am purchasing. 5 5 1
Partagas Decadas Limited Reserve 1998 Gift Set I do not think the Decadas 1998 Gift Set had been properly stored. The sticks were hard as rocks and the wrapper was begining to come apart. I have put them into my humidor for some long time rehab to see if they can be revived. I do not recommend. 1 5 1

Partagas Decadas Limited Reserve 1998 Gift Set Got this set when it went on sale. They are still very hard and dry. Haven't even attempted to smoke them because I'm trying to revive them a little. All other cigars from JR have been superb but these for some reason are not. 2 5 1

Very well constructed the cigar carrier itself is made of tin but strong enough for its job. Cigars were in great shape and judging by the yellowing of the cellophane have been aging awhile. 5 5 1

Partagas Decadas Limited Reserve 1998 Gift Set Upon arrival months ago they were dry as a bone and smelled funky and dusty and the wrappers were a deep amber color indicating a good deal of age. The first one I smoked after a week of resting was harsh at best. I just smoked a second one after more than a few months of rest and care and it was more mellow and I was able to pick up some actual flavor notes but I still wouldn't call it better than good. It honestly just looks like JR bought a ton of cases of these gift sets and forgot about them in a corner of the warehouse and didn't rotate the stock at all. I am going to buy a few more gift sets to confirm this, but I will most likely set them to rest in a separate humidor at a mid 70s humidity for a few months before even thinking about smoking one. 3 5 1
Partagas Decadas Limited Reserve 1998 Gift Set I had been watching this cigar and saw this package offered at price points ranging from a low of $19.95 , to a high at $49.95...I used some loyalty points and made a good deal a great deal...I read the reviews and deduced that these would need to spend time in my humidor before anything further than that took place...After about 2 weeks or so I fired one up...No wrapper issues, no burn issues , nothing but enjoyment...Bravo... 4 5 1

Partagas Decadas Limited Reserve 1998 Gift Set These Decadas cigars a nice, but unfortunately they don't stand out as having the "Wow" effect befitting their fancy packaging. The metal gift package case is extremely beautiful, and it would make for a nice gift, but a cigar itself, even at a sale price, does not warrant the cost. In my review, I subtracted one star for high cost; otherwise it would give it a "four-star" rating. The cigars arrived fresh, and I had no issues nor any negative experience with my order. 3 5 1

Partagas Decadas Limited Reserve 1998 Gift Set An average smoking experience. The draw and consistency are quite good. Yet the flavor is the issue. Nothing special at all Very subtle notes of spice and some leather. At times, even some very mild sweetness. Not enough to justify the retail price for these three cigars. I am happy I purchased them on sale. Partagas manufactures many excellent cigars. Some strong some mild. This is not one of them.. 3 5 1
