Bourbon WhiskeyMan I wish JR carried this. I've somewhat recently tried getting back into pipe smoking. I've probably got over a dozen different brands and styles of pipe tobacco sitting on my shelf just trying to figure out what I like. I just happened to be in the local tobacco shop the other day and I thought I'd try a couple different inexpensive pipe blends for fun. I got a pouch of Captain Black Royal (which I honestly really like) and I got a pouch of this Borkum Riff Bourbon Whiskey. I wasn't 100% sure about it at first, but now that I've had about 10 bowls worth, I ABSOLUTELY love it. I'm not quite sure that it tastes like Bourbon Whiskey though. My drink of choice is either Bourbon or Scotch. So I like to consider myself a bit of a backyard Whiskey connoisseur. But the taste and smell of this tobacco is awesome. I really think it has some sort of a sweet and salty taste with a smokiness to it. It reminds of how delicious a good bowl of mixed nuts is. You get that creaminess of cashews, the salty bite of the peanuts and the earthy-ness of walnuts and pecans. I know it sounds like a stupid comparison, but it's the best way I can describe this. And the couple of non smokers I've been around while smoking this have said that the room note smells delicious with almost a baked goods smell to it. Anyway, that's my two cents. I'd consider making this an all day smoke. It stays lit well, has almost no tongue bite and comes at a great price point. Definitely give it a try.551

Borkum Riff Bourbon Whiskey pipe tobacco is the most popular blend in the brand portfolio. Bourbon Whiskey utilizes more Virginia and less Black Cavendish leaves than the other Borkum Riff blends but offers an even richer taste and aroma thanks to the addition of genuine Kentucky Bourbon whiskey. The sweet smoky taste of this affordable pipe tobacco has been a fan favorite for many decades.
