Leading off September’s Cigar of the Month is the classic brand Montecristo. Specifically, we’re showcasing the 6 x 50 medium to full-bodied Montecristo Platinum. When the Platinum series came out in 2002, it set a new standard for what cigars from the Dominican Republic should represent. It was also created in response to cigar connoisseur’s growing desire for a more full-flavored cigar.

Featuring a zesty Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper, the Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro has a Connecticut Broadleaf binder, while featuring Nicaraguan tobaccos for the filler. This medium to full-bodied cigar is the fourth installment from Drew Estate’s legendary master blender Willy Herrera.

Flavor notes you will detect while smoking the Brazilian Maduro from Herrera Esteli are earth, chocolate, sweet tobacco, and some distinctive floral tones.
