I had a bundle of these with the old style red band buried deep in my coolidor that I bought from JR online back in 2013 on clearance. I recently smoked one and I must say the flavor was out of this world excellent. The draw was perfect as well as the burn. Mexican tobacco is an acquired taste and you really have to be one of the chosen to appreciate it. So many of these older brands are becoming harder and harder to come by and I'm glad this old favorite is still available.

Medium bodied. Well made and a decent looking cigar. These have a flavor I don’t care for but they are a well priced smoke.

I have smoked these for YEARS...these are always the best and really have never changed. A shame there are not other Mexican cigars on the market to compare.

I have personally never had a good Te Amo cigar ever. These were no exception; they taste like wet hay they burn in such uneven inconsistent ways it is almost comical and even the ash looks dirty. I know there are Te Amo fans out there but I am not in that crowd.

For the price it's an alright cigar.
Flavor is dry and grassy. The aroma is of hay and earth.
Construction was good. I would not turn down a free one but I wouldn't buy them again.

This cigar needs to rest a few months before enjoying. When you do fire one up you will be rewarded. This earthy and spicy cigar delivers beautiful tasty smoke. This cigar has been a veteran good smoke for many years. Don't look down your nose at Mexican tobacco many top names use it.

I see a lot of 4 and 5 stars here but my batch wasn't good. Uncharacteristic for Te-Amo.The draw was to hard burned unevenly running up the side. I threw them away.

Te-Amo is a cigar I have fond memories of during the 1980's. These were always good. I hadn't smoked one in years and I couldn't understand why except all the new brands coming along. I had one today and turned around and bought more from JR. The taste is like no other cigar which makes it so tasty and unique. The San Andreas tobacco is also used in Partagas and many other cigars to give a sweet earthy aroma and flavor. The construction is excellent and the burn and draw as well. Te-Amo has been and still is a really good cigar.

Bought a single of this to try as I've liked several cigars with Mexican tobaccos blended in. VERY ENJOYABLE. BILLOWS of smoke excellent draw burned evenly. Earthy. The spiciness in terms of spice heat is similar in terms of magnitude to good hot Mexican food and definitely has a kick so I would say it's medium to full-bodied. Its cedar notes which I normally don't care for much are sublime in this distinctive blend and work well with the spiciness. Amazing that these are only $3 a stick by the boxfull-- an excellent value. Next step is to buy a five pack and see if my enthusiam persists (sometimes it fatigues) with an idea of T-Amo playing a supporting role : work into the rotation on an every-second-or-third day basis much like a #2 or #3 pitcher as the last of 3-4 cigars of the day.
