Toro The flavors of leather earth a slight nuttiness and a very slight cinnamon are pure silky smoothness. Draw construction aroma all Outstanding. Has a great draw throughout the smoke. One of the best from monte. 5 5 1
Toro Has a great draw throughout the smoke. Wonderful flavor but not too strong. 4 5 1
Toro These cigars are precisely why Montecristo is positively unparalleled! Normally I acclimate every cigar for a minimum of two weeks before I smoke one but when these arrived I just couldn’t resist…and I was not disappointed! The strength is rated as “medium” but believe me the flavors of leather earth a slight nuttiness and a very slight cinnamon are pure silky smoothness. The burn is everything you’ve come to expect from a Montecristo …perfect! And the construction is…perfect! A solid cigar with the right amount of draw…every cigar should be built so well. I will sequester these in a separate humidor as I don’t want to corrupt them with some of the lesser smokes I am aging. This is truly a cigar for special occasions…a smoke to be savored even cherished! Believe me this cigar is one to be remembered and a cigar against which others should be measured. 5 5 1
Toro Very nice cigar flavorful and has an even burn to it also nice when you can try these cigars at a great price at jr.cigars... 4 5 1
Toro I am on my third 5-pack of these because I keep wanting to give them a chance. The flavor is amazing and they are one of the best tasting cigars I've ever smoked. When I can actually get them to smoke. Because the construction and draw have been ridiculously bad on EVERY ONE I HAVE SMOKED. They are either so tight that even with the poker they barely draw or they crack rip and fall apart. It's a good thing I got all three of the 5 packs for fairly cheap because if I had paid $15 to $20 a piece for these I would be extremely pissed. I have kept them at a constant 69% RH. And I know that Montecristo wrappers can be very delicate so I wasn't rough with any of them. I just finished one....well got through half of one anyway....with the usual tight draw. A couple pokes and it was at least doable. At the halfway point the thing basically starting disintegrating in my hand. The wrapper cracked and split all over the place and the thing just fell apart. I threw it in the firepit in frustration and grabbed a $2.50 Maria Mancini which is currently burning perfectly. What is the deal with these things? I have two more in the humi but I am not exactly anxious to smoke them. These reviews about the wonderful construction and great draw...I am stunned. This has not been my experience with a single one of these. Cigars are supposed to be relaxing but these VERY expensive sticks have provided me with the most frustrating smoking experiences I've ever had. I think I'm done. I certainly tried. I guess I should give them 5 stars for consistency because they have been consistently horrific to try to smoke. 2 5 1
Toro I smoked one of these in a Montecristo cigar class yesterday. Wow this is one great cigar. Notes of leather earthiness and sweetest. You could not buy a better cigar. 5 5 1
Toro I bought a box of these, as did my son, and they have turned out to be the worst smoke I have had in years. A few have been exquisite but the great majority will not stay lit, the burn is similar to smoking a railroad tie. I purchased some Piloticos when they first came on the market and they were outstanding; these recent purchases are impossible to enjoy. Monte Christo needs to greatly improve quality control before I consider them again. 1 5 1
