Gordito Torpedo I never write reviews but this is one of the best cigars I have smoked. Perfect draw nice cocoa and coffee notes even burn with no touch ups. One of those cigars you keep looking at after you take a puff thinking damn this is good! Highly recommended for the beginner to the cigar world or an old pro looking for something a little different. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Great dark sticky wrapper with awesome flavor and draw. Great smoke that I always look for at auction. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I have smoked several of the EMS version of this cigar and it is my go-to cheap cigar. The flavor is good as is the construction and burn. Since I am a Maduro fan I figured I would love this one. I am on the second 5-pack of these and I have yet to have one that burned right. Not one of the Maduros has been a positive smoking experience since I spend the entire time fixing wonky burns canoeing and constantly re-light them. Most of the time I end up putting them out by the half-way mark and grabbing something else because I just get sick of dealing with them. I thought maybe I got a bad batch w. the first 5-pack but I am on the 3rd stick from a second pack and it's the same problems. Plus I think the ultra dark wrapper is TOO dark making them taste charcoal-ish and one-note that note being BURNT. I am actually TRYING to smoke one right now. I just set it down to finish my thought here MAYBE 30 seconds and it has already gone out!! I mostly smoke Maduros but with these I will stick w. the EMS version. Gonna go grab an enjoyable cigar right now. This one didn't even make it to an inch in before I'm just done. I've smoked a LOT of different cigaea and I have never had such a disappointing cigar experience. This is bull. 1 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Way back in 1997 I ordered two boxes of the fat boy torpedo. Which are very good cigars. One box of the two had a mold issue. I e-mailed Martin describing the issue. This is back when JR had a forum. Mr. Mayorga mailed me two boxes of torpedo and a bag of his delicious coffee. I will never forget how he went above and beyond. He has a passion for making a great smoke and has impecable customer service. Martin is a true gentleman. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Great cigar. Flavor is fantastic and it looks good 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I just had to leave another feedback on this stick. I am blown away by the flavors this little guy has. Spice at light up. There's a very very light hint of sweetness i cannot put my finger on. Almost like a fruit sweetness. Also pine nut and leather. A very complex cigar. At this price you CANNOT go wrong. I will always keep these around and probably hoard them. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Cannot believe I haven't found these before. Silky smooth and perfect box shape. Has that rustic feel with its box that presents it. A must have. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Good draw excellent flavor with sweet notes. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Fantastic flavor and box-pressed torpedoes are quickly becoming a favorite shape. A light draw good smoke and a full flavor with cedar and wood notes. Thoroughly enjoyable. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I think this is one of the best deals out there on a premium cigar. It is better than some others costing much more. It has a nice rich coffee chocolate flavor and smokes evenly . Great cigar 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I have smoked a lot of cigars from $0.80 JR's to $50 Opus X or Habanos on the golf course and my back porch. Of course I don't waste the more expensive ones by smoking them on the golf course. These were probably among the WORST cigars I've ever smoked. First 1/3 tasted like ash and the about halfway through cigar got so hot down the entire length my fingers were burning. Threw it out. Tried again about a week later and same thing except I dumped this one a bit earlier and had enough time to light another for the rest of my round. Fortunately I only bought a 5 pack and they were cheap. 2 5 1
Gordito Torpedo This has an airy draw and is a quick smoke about 30 minutes and is in the full flavor side of things. It billows with smoke. I smoke about a dozen stogies a week and this has a nice placement in the sense that I will go from mild to stronger smokes during a day. This cigar is on the stronger flintier more leathery flavored cigar that I will go to at the end of the night. Always smooth with a sweet Nic character that lovers of Nic tobaccos will understand. Don't hesitate to buy this one because it's a good one that will earn a regular reliable place in your box if you are a connoisseur of good cigars. Don't be put off by the price this is just a well-priced excellent cigar. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I'm always on the hunt for 4 things: 1. easy draw 2 . good burn 3. thick smoke 4. good flavor The first three are a necessity. The fourth is a luxury. Mayorga delivers in all categories. Pay full price. They're worth every cent. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo An acceptable smoke. Taste was a bit bitter though out. Aside from that really decent construction. Burn stayed evenand draw was good. Picked a box up on an auction at a great price. I dont think I would buy these at full price. Only smoked one stick so far. We'll see. 3 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I am new to the cigar world however in the last three months I have smoked some very fine and expensive one to get a good calibration of what I like. I have to say I go back to these every time as they are the best I've had yet. I'm on my third box and will continue to fill my humidor with these. Great taste and not very expensive. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo This cigar wasn't a bad cigar at all its well made and draws/burns well. However it is pretty strong more than I like myself. 3 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Perfect dark oily aromatic wrapper. Upon light up great coffee and dark cocoa notes. Nice even slow burn. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Nice little cigar well worth the price for a decend maduro with medium bodied chocolate and coffee notes. 3 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Very smooth. Good draw and flavor. Great price. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I really enjoy this cigar if I don't have much time to smoke or if I'm planning to have more than one cigar in the day. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Thanks 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo These have a wonderful rough chocolate look to them, with flavor to match. They really do have a wonderful Coco and coffee taste. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Smooth! Tasty! Will be ordering more. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Very good affordable smoke from an old company! Nice everyday smoke. Construction draw and burn were great! Tastes great! Recommend... 4 5 1

Gordito Torpedo Very good cigar I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and even mor surprised by the flavor. Buy them before they realize how much they SHOULD be selling for. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo The Mayorga Gordito Toerpedo is a great cigar. It has a smooth draw and great price. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo This is probably the best bang for your buck. Good all the way from start to finish. Creamy cocoa with nutty dark chocolate finish. Medium to full body. 45-60 minutes of enjoyment with an even burn. Try these. You won't be disappointed. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo This is a mild-medium bodied cigar. Flavor notes: coffee cocoa. Very soft. 3 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Thick chewy flavorful smoke 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo i'm sorry cigar buds but I can't see any flavor from this stick its like smoking ' well anybody have an asprin 2 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Good taste but packed to loose very fast cigar 3 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Update... I've had these hanging in the humidor for a couple months now and this is my third one. I've finally had the opportunity to pair it with a good cup of dark roast coffee. The cigar and coffee are a great pairing and balance perfectly. This one however has an uneven burn but nothing to far off. It really is a great Nicaaraguin cigar. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo This cigar wasn't a bad cigar at all its well made and draws/burns well. However it is pretty strong more than I like myself. 3 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Very impressed by this cigar. It has a super dark wrapper. Nice heavy flavors of dark chocolate and dark roast coffee. I will buy more. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Very much a rich flavored cigar. Just received these today and light up on straight out of the pack. Pre light very dark wrapper and oily with a great tobacco smell. Light up with an easy draw great construction with a flawless burn. Nice even balanced flavors of roast coffee and cocoa. I don't know how I've missed these but from now on they have a home in my humidor. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo typical nester cigar pretty appears to be well made and then the bad burn. Started out good but canoed half way through. Nice flavor 3 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Okay draw excellent construction and consistency and the flavor was very nice better than a lot of more expensive cigars. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Great taste. Awesome draw--not a bad draw in about 15 that I've smoked. Love this cigar. Will be a regular buy for me. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I won these on the auction because they sounded like they'd be an alright cigar to have. Turned out it was one of the best tasting ones I have and I carry a wide variety of low mid and high range cigars. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I have almost given up hope in search of a nice budget smoke, picked these up on a whim. Got these and lit up a fresh out of the pack and stunned almost stupid on the draw, burn and flavor. No celo but right into my humi for some aging and love. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Tried one the day they arrived and enjoyed it to the nub. Left the rest to sit in the humidor. Been a while since I smoked it so my memory isn’t up to date on the flavor but I did like it. I already have more coming from the auctions even though all 4 of my humidors are full. I think I have CAD for sure. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I really like this cigar, especially when I only have 30 minutes to relax and sit on the patio (its smaller size). Good draw, nice medium body with good flavors. I ordered it several times and got a very dark wrapper one time, which is my favorite. Thought I ordered the same one but it came in a lighter wrapper, still very good, but the darker one is my favorite. Its a great value. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I just received a 5-pack of these today from JR, and decided to immediately indulge. Since it’s cold & windy outside today & I don’t want to be outside for too long, I figured this would be a nice selection for today. First, the dark wrapper is quite tantalizing and the aroma is right in line with the deep, dark Maduro shade. The taste was good, with prominent coffee notes complimented with a hint of earthiness. The draw was a little tighter than I prefer, but the V-cut is used may have contributed to that since not very much of the cap was removed. Additionally, I also experienced a slight bit of canoeing. Overall though, I really like this cigar and look forward to enjoying the remaining four. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Do not waste your money on these cigars! The draw is terrible! Inconsistent and quite an effort t smoke them! Thank God I only paid about 20 dollars for a five pack. Also, hardly any taste at all, which is surprising for a maduro! 1 5 1
Gordito Torpedo This is not a torpedo. It's ar Rothschild. Small cigar. Maybe 46 ring x 5. I've been cheated by JR on this cigar. 2 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Nice, smooth, easy draw, perfect taste. 5 star across the board for those who enjoy a true maduro 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Very dark double maduro. Only 4.50 inches. No celo wrap. Burns evenly and holds ash. Not much flavor. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I used to smoke these years ago. Saw them and decided to buy a box. Wow! All I can say is this cigar is absolutely the way I remembered it. Loads of chocolate, espresso, some wood and small amounts of pepper sprinkled in. Phenomenal cigar at an excellent price. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Same as I remember. Very well made, nice burn, with a nice kick. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo This cigar is well constructed, a nice draw and nice taste of a bit chocolate & coffee. This gem also has a little kick to it. Such a good cigar for the price. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I bought these on sale. I figured they would be good lawn working cigars. I normally do not like box pressed cigars but these were really good. They are the strength I like and not to spicy. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo If you like a chocolate/coffee taste profile don’t sleep on these cigars. Very well made with a consistent good draw and burn. Also tried the Habano wrapper as well - same profile with just a hint of spicy also very good but the maduro is the bomb. These are definitely in my rotation. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I was initially excited about this cigar as I picked it up for less than $2/stick and it looks beautiful. Dark and oily maduro. But was so disappointed with the flavor. Was smoking it during a golf round. Actually had to discard it, it was that bad. No flavor. Just stale smoke. I don't know if it's the batch I got, but I haven't smoked any of the others yet. I'll update this review if the others are an improvement. As for now, I can't recommend. 1 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Nice little smoke for the price. Will order again 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Definitely needs at least a couple of weeks in humidor before smoking 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Garte cigar for the $$ 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Definitely needs humidor time 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I typically enjoy a good full bodied cigar with pepper notes. This is a great change when I’m looking for a rich chocolate smoke. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo `I love the torpedo design, of any good cigar. I have been a Mayorga fan for several years. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I love a good Maduro. That said i love the very sweetness of the smoke on the draw. Very bold and stout for a little beast of a cigar. The Price was right .JR Cigars is the best deal in town and they ship to you free if your a member ,so join it's great I will say I have always steered away from box pressed belicso ( Torpedo ) or "war like", type cigars . These got me over that fear and I think they should get 4 stars.Burn , Flavor, And construction, all spot on . I really was pleased with the Flavor of tobacco Sweetness.True Maduro Cigars are good when there Consistant and smooth . These Gorditas fit the bill nicely . 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Nice Maduro . Great way to spend 35 minutes. Sweet tobacco goodness. I got over my fear of torpedo type cigars with the help of these little gems. Thanks JR Cigars for making that happen for me. Well made ,good flavor . No issues with any of them.try them you Will agree. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Good value. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo This is my third time I've ordered these cigars and the price is excellent 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Smooth 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Pound for pound one of the best for the buck!!! It's a staple in my humidor. 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Some burn crooked 3 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Very good 5 5 1
Gordito Torpedo This is a everyday smoke .I buy these and smoke them on a regular basis excellent choice and a great price 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo OK guys I keep these in my humidors what can I say about favorites excellent draw and excellent taste 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo These stockies are in a class all by themselves excellent taste and burn 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo this cigar quickly grew on me after lighting it up I was about to put it down and walk away, but I did not and was glad i didn't. It's flavor changed for the better and may I tell you it only got better. I am going to smoke one now . 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Pleasant aroma and flavor was best middle way through the burn. 3 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Cigars in the 5 pack do not have individual cello wrap. This should be stated in the description. Other than that this cigar is as described, a 5* smoke. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Very nice medium/full bodied short smoke. Great when you don't have a lot of time. Slightly oily, good draw, notes of nuts and coffee. 4 5 1
Gordito Torpedo I would've gave 4 stars, but the flavor was a little weak. Other than that it was a pretty good cigar. 3 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Unimpressed. Good price, good construction, good burn, but lacking in flavor. 3 5 1
Gordito Torpedo Previously I have raved about this cigar, I apologize to anyone who may have listened. I have stocked up on this cigarm myself., after smoing one 5 pack . Probably a big mistake. The second % pack is very different. I have already realized that the natural wrapped version often tastes funny { bad horribly wrong} . three into the 2nd 5 pack and each has been off . They emit a burnt flavor. I know it's burning tobacco but it tastes like burnt soot .. W T F did I do buying 4 five pachs of rthe maduro version? 1 5 1
