Cohiba Sublime Never had a Cohiba Sublime so I’m not sure how it compares. I will say the JR alternative is a great cigar nonetheless. Draw was somewhat tight but the burn stayed even and the flavors of leather and chocolate were plentiful. For the price I think these cigars are a steal. Very impressed! Cohiba Sublime First try I was fighting the wind. Had trouble getting it to burn evenly. First two inches were harsh and overpowering. After that it settled down and turned into a great medium flavorful smoke with delightful flavors. Maybe it was the wind but ash was never tight. Great tasting and enjoyable down to the last two inches where it really started to burn unevenly. Fillers began burning much faster than binder and wrapper and I fought with it to keep it lit properly. Finally gave up. Will try again when conditions are better. Long cigars really do far better in a controlled indoor environment such as a cigar lounge where you can take the time to enjoy them properly. 4 5 1

Cohiba Sublime When you get a good one these are great. But there is some inconsistancy, especially in the draw where they are rolled to tight and some of them you can't get much out of without a lot of effort. These are slow burners and last over an hour easy, but good flavor and even burn. If not for some being rolled to tight, which is about 35-40% of them, they'd be excellent. 4 5 1

Cohiba Sublime So I’m on my 2nd order of these and they are outstanding with one caveat: they need about 3 months in your humidor. Anytime before that and what you’ll mostly get is bitter tobacco tastes and burn problems. It’s worth the wait. Give them a few months and they open up into wonderful cocoa/chocolate/earth/leather that is a pleasure to smoke especially at $2.50 a pop. Ash will never hold on for more than an inch or so so keep that in mind. 4 5 1

Cohiba Sublime Ok, it's not exactly a Cohiba Sublime but its also not $20 a stick! This is by far one of the best bundle smokes I have had from anyone and it continues to amaze. It is very smooth and I would say not that complex and fall exactly in the middle strength range and for the price its down right a steal. There was no need to let it rest in a humidor like a lot of less expensive cigars and smoked really well right out of the bundle just like the JR alternative Cohiba Behike laguito no. 6. I will still save a few as i usually do and see if aging them 6 months or so makes a difference but, trust me that buying these is a must if you like a solid medium strength cigar! 5 5 1

Cohiba Sublime Firstly, in my hand, I noticed immediately the superior build. The roller's expert workmanship is evident. Solid construction. The beautiful oily sheen on the wrapper is quite eye catching, I confess. Upon moistening the cigar head, a cornucopia of earthy notes combined with wisps of dark chocolate seized my attention. Intrigued, I proceeded to clip the head, then toast the foot, all the while wondering whether my initial impressions of this stick were misplaced. Rather swiftly, my doubts were laid to rest. Out of the gate with the first few drags, I closed my eyes and found myself transported to an open outdoor space where mystic chords of almonds, dark chocolate and dried raisins joyfully consorted. My palate awakened to the aggressive nature of this blend of Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos lovingly ensconced within an Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapping. In my youth, full-bodied cigars were all I cared to associate with. Now, as I dwell in my mid-century years, my pursuit is more towards flavorful smokes. The JR Cigars Edicion Limitada Alternative (Cohiba Sublime) is certainly among the more interesting I’ve encountered in my thirty-one plus years of tobacco affinity. The echos of cinnamon, nutmeg and cracked black peppercorn on the last third of this smoke I found to be delightful. I trust you will also. 4 5 1

Cohiba Sublime I have really enjoyed this cigar for several reasons. A great bold flavor for an affordable price. The wrapper is a nice oily Maduro with similar qualities to the Oscuro wrapper. It’s got a bold taste with a strong cedar finish and lots of smoke, but not too strong. The ash is sometimes inconsistent from cigar to cigar but never trashy like a bad wrap job. The draw is pretty good and sometimes has an issue going out but not too irritatingly so. Overall a great cigar. 5 5 1

Cohiba Sublime I was genuinely surprised when I opened my shipment. The cigars were at a perfect humidity level, fragrant, and the wrappers flawless. Something not usually achieved in this price range. The cigar smoked evenly the whole way through. The ONLY reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the strenuous draw. It never went out, but each draw did take me a few puffs to get a nice full draw. Instant flavors of espresso equally mixed with cream, then a mid range level of leather and chocolate, with lastly earth and tree nuts. This may be my new go-to cigar if I can get my hands on enough of them. 4 5 1

Cohiba Sublime while I don't really like churchills or longer than 6" cigars I found these to be very good. It has a nice draw, not hard or not loose, just right for the length of the cigar. It stayed cool through out with no harst ending. The cover was very smooth and without flaws, the taste stayed consistent right up to the end. The ash could be long and does not seem to fall off without a bump, so that shows quality in my opinion. Cohiba Sublime I bought two five packs of these after having a generally good experience with JR branded cigars. These sticks however were rolled so tight I couldn't draw them at all. When I emailed customer service to seek some sort of reaction or resolution, I got no response. After waiting a week I called them regarding a coupon code and mentioned this issue at which I was told "yeah, I think we got an email about that too." No offer to replace them or substitute something in their place - so I could have just taken a match to my $40 and gotten the same benefit. Very disappointed with JR on this purchase. I felt they might stand behind their brand better than this. Lesson learned I suppose. However, that wasn't all that was different about The Sublime! Its visual appearance, bouquet & dry-pull introduction seemed strangely unfamiliar. Not in a "bad way". In an "impressive" way. Deeper notes of almond, dark chocolate and dried raisins on the front end smoke. Suddenly, Ghost notes of Red Pepper unexpectedly introduced itself to my palate on the back-end retro-hale! Cohiba Sublime I have had a few of these in one of my humidors for about 6 months and while I was rotating the cigars in I found a few that I had forgotten about. I have to say these are some really good cigars in every way. the draw was perfect, they burned perfectly all the way down to the nub, and the ash was beautiful didn't fall off till about an inch and a half, and smoked perfectly down to the nub. Oh, and the taste and aroma are good too. I sit out on my front porch and relax every day with a cigar and the other day my neighbor walked by and said "Man that smells good" I would highly recommend these and definitely be buying more. 5 5 1
