Xikar Purotemp Base Unit & Remote Sensor When I unpacked mine it wouldn't work. However I discovered the batteries that came with it were dead. Installed new batteries in both units and they came on. Now it takes several minutes for both base and sending unit to calibrate. Give time. This system works so well I did buy two more sending unit as like they say the base can monitor up to three units. I have all 3 units going in 3 separate humidors and believe me it makes things simple and easy to maintain. 5 5 1
