Toro I’ve smoked both this Toro size and the Belicoso. The draw has zero resistance, which should be a positive. However, with a cigar of this large ring size, the smoke comes into your mouth in a huge quantity and somewhat hot. The flavor of the Hispaniola is great. The smoking experience is optimized by the tapered tip of the Belicoso. I’m not a cigar chewer. But with this Toro size, you need either a V-cut or you need to make the end of the cigar smaller by basically chewing on it and moistening it, to limit the amount of smoke coming in. Great cigar, but get the Belicoso. 4 5 1
Toro I got two of these in a sampler, and both were excellent. The construction, draw and burn were perfect. Flavor was robust, spicy and sweet. Too bad they are so expensive, because these are my new favorite Upmanns! 5 5 1
Toro By far the best cigar for the money 5 5 1
Toro I got one in a JR sampler. I can't rate the flavor, as this thing split up the middle, immediately after lighting. It had been resting for over a year, @65% RH.I tried to salvage what I could, but there was a large clump that would'nt allow the cigar to burn properly. I have'nt had a cigar burn this bad since the 90s boom, when they wer cranking out garbage. Two thumbs down 1 5 1
Toro Excitedly purchased these as an Upmann fan. Wanted to try another edition in the line.Extremely disappointing that such highly rated cigar could be this poor. Flavor is nice but the construction is shockingly poor for a cigar of this price and quality. My first 3 the wrapper split at the top about 1" down the line, so going forward I dispensed with a careful guillotine cut to a hole punch cut only to experience points/plugs in the cigar that prevented burn no matter how much lighting it was subjected to. I will stick with my Hermann's Batch, Anejos and Nicaraguan Heritage. They are flawless in construction to match the flavor profile and the price. 2 5 1
Toro Like the cigars. Hate the no free shipping policy. Probably wont be buy to many more cigars from Jr.'s 3 5 1
Toro Enjoyable flavor profile, medium to full first half and full to finish. Occasional touch ups. 5 5 1
