Toro Great smoke! Starts off a bit spicy but after that it’s just an hour plus of great aged tobacco! 4 5 1
Toro I got a 5 pack of these with another order of Upmanns I put in, so I didn't know what to expect when I tried it. I didn't think I'd enjoy it based on how the first third smoked, extremely spicy with that spiciness masking underlying flavors, however by the time you get into the second third, the spice wanes and the cigar begins to mellow out. Second third is nice and smooth with a good chocolate flavor, it was at this point I began to really enjoy the smoke. It kept the notes of chocolate for the remainder of the smoke, but by the final third you also get notes of coffee and at the nub some cinnamon as well. Definitely gets better as you smoke it and I smoked it till it burned my fingers. Draw and construction were perfect, though I did need to touch it up a little at the very end. Definitely a medium to full body leaning more toward full. I don't think I could smoke this daily like a Vintage Cameroon or Herman's Batch, but it will certainly become a regular in my humidor. Pairs well with a sweeter brandy. 5 5 1
Toro The reviews were good but I’ve had no burn issues and great draw throughout. Complex flavors with a nice oily finish. It’s a winner 5 5 1
Toro Great stick. Doesn’t try to do anything too difficult. Very predictable which is a compliment. 5 5 1
Toro I stumbled upon this smoke during a JR special offered. Three boxes later I find myself content with the quality, price, and taste of this cigar. The toro is an excellent choice. Lasts for about 1 1/2 hours. The magnum version is very good, but no difference in smoke time. The Anejo 1844 is my every day smoke. 5 5 1

H. Upmann 1844 Anejo

Toro 6 × 54 UP18ATO_1

H. Upmann 1844 Anejo cigars are hot new addition to this famous Cuban-heritage brands portfolio that uses a rich, blend of Honduran, Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers, layered inside a tasty Broadleaf binder. Then, for the perfect finishing touch, the cigars are topped off with a dark oily, double-fermented Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The cigars are expertly rolled at the prestigious Flor de Copan factory in Honduras. The word anejo is Spanish for “old” or “mature,” and what distinguishes this three vitola line from all other H.Upmann cigars, is the fact that all of the tobaccos used to create this special blend have been aged for 5-years. Medium to full bodied in strength, 1844 Anejo delivers bold and exceptionally well refined flavors of earth, cocoa, cinnamon, and leather, smoothly rounded out with savory notes of sweet tobacco. If you’re looking for decadent premium handmade Cuban-style cigar that comes with plenty of extra aging, you found it right here with H. Upmann 1844 Anejo.
