Epicure These cigars suck. They do however burn nicely and are made well but the flavor is deplorable. My tongue was all pins and needles as this cigar made my mouth sting with a flavor that fell way short of the original and far better original line of HDM cigars. Got this in the COTM Club please never send it again. 3 5 1

Epicure I got this smoke in a sampler. I lit it early on a Sunday morning and enjoyed one of the better breakfasts smokes I've had. Great body awesome medium flavor perfect draw and burn. Perfect. Multiple boxes are in my future. 4 5 1

Epicure The Excalibur line from Hoyo de Monterrey has been a smash hit for decades. While I love a good boutique cigar as much as the next guy, you have to acknowledge an excellent blender with literally tons of excellent aged tobacco at his disposal. Every cigar in the original line is a winner, and the No.1, No.2 & Epicure are standouts. Always properly aged, these don’t need time, but it certainly won’t do anything to diminish an already excellent smoke - and the boxes are the absolute best style for aging. When you consider that I smoke nearly every one down to almost an inch, the Epicure at 5.5” smokes like a Toro - for an absolute steal. (Particularly when 5-packs come up at auction!) I’m a sucker for Honduran cigars - my favorite tobacco growing region. If Hoyo & Punch are the quintessential examples of Honduran goodness, then the Excalibur line is the more refined uptown cousin. Still loads of oily blue smoke, still rich Honduran “tang” - but less earth and more light leather. Dove grey ash hangs on for around an inch, and burn is nearly always perfect. I literally have 5 boxes worth laid down of this size, but would not hesitate to add to that number if a steal comes around. They’re that good! Recommended. 4 5 1
Epicure Just a fabulous cigar. Always a perfect draw and burn. A mild to medium smoke, however with tons of flavor. Burns evenly every time, and you’ll smoke it till you need a roach clip. Lots of beautiful smoke and a refined taste. They don’t need relighting because they are aged well and rolled perfectly. 5 5 1

Epicure The epicure shade grown is among my favorite cigars. It can be an hour long smoke. The shade wrapper is smoother than the average shade grown. The broadleaf binder gives it an earthy, savory note. The entire blend is well balanced and a medium strength. So smooth. I've literally got hundreds of this number in storage and still keep buying to keep my stock built up. 5 5 1
