Grand Robusto My first experience with the Le Bijou 1922 was in the torpedo size and it lived up to cigar of the year honors in my estimation. The grand robusto didn’t have as much pepper and spice up front but it was every bit as full bodied and flavorful. The burn is so consistent and slow I enjoyed it for two hours. Grand Robusto After seeing other reviews I was surprised that my experience was so negative. Draw was good burn was even but the taste resulted in me only smoking it half way-had enough. Even the odor was not pleasing. I Definitely could taste the coffee chocolate and pepper others mention but it was more like old coffee grounds with a burnt after taste.. First cigar in a long time I didn't enjoy at all..... I bought a 5 pack; perhaps I just had a bad one... but i would be happy to hand over to anyone the other four at no cost. 3 5 1

Grand Robusto There is a good amount of pepper in the first few puffs though the signature Pepín blast isn’t quite as overwhelming as might be expected at least until you get a few puffs in and the smoke has had a chance to work over your senses for a few minutes. It’s about half an inch in that the My Father Le Bijou 1922 hits its first winning combination as the pepper earth and just a touch of grilled meats come together to create an attention grabbing aroma. As expected the burn line is sharp and even smoke production is sufficient and air moves through the cigar with no issues whatsoever. When the first chunk of ash breaks off an astonishing amount of pepper joins the smoke filling the nose with a nostril-tingling sensation that reawakens the senses in preparation for the next section. 5 5 1
Grand Robusto Never a disappointment from My Father this is by no means an exception to that rule! An all around fantastic smoke! I tend to enjoy theses with a cup O' Joe in the morning or a nice glass of bourbon. 4 5 1

Grand Robusto I was out on my porch on a beautiful spring day smoking this. It was full flavored and reminded me of sitting around a camp fire telling stories of simpler times. It burned evenly and long as I puffed away watching the sun set. I would recommend this with the nature sounds and you have time to reflect. 4 5 1

Grand Robusto Really enjoyable stick with the typical creamy pepper core flavors accented by dried fruit sweetness. The foot smoke smelled heavenly. The construction was a bit fragile; the firm pack made the wrapper and binder susceptible to damage. The first inch or so was burning very poorly due to this problem. Grand Robusto It is actually funny that I am smoking a My Father Le Bijou 1922 at the moment before I'm writing this review this is a very good stick and for being a Robusto steak it is very smooth and my older than your typical robusto. Very good flavors a little disappointed as far as the consistency though having two relate it twice and I'm only a quarter of the way in. I would definitely recommend trying at least one though. 4 5 1

Grand Robusto There's some nice oil to the wrapper on this one. Smells very nice a lightly fruity tobacco. Maybe raisin? Prelight draw is tobacco with a hint of molasses. First third is peppery tobacco that milds out after an inch. Slight earthy mineral taste at the end of the draw. Second third is that consistant pepper taste with that earthiness kicking up. That raisin taste picks up a bit too. Nice smoke output. Last third is heavier on the pepper than anything else. Finishes nicely. The stick is a medium-full. All in all a great stick that smokes very nicely. Fits the flavor profile that many will find entrancing. Worth a smoke. 3 5 1

Grand Robusto Really enjoyable stick with the typical creamy pepper core flavors accented by dried fruit sweetness. The foot smoke smelled heavenly. The construction was a bit fragile; the firm pack made the wrapper and binder susceptible to damage. The first inch or so was burning very poorly due to this problem.
