I love these cigars and couldn't wait for them to get here. I opened them up as soon as they were delivered. I pulled out a cigar, cut it and watched the wrapper crack in three places from the cap down. The cigar was too dry (47 by my humidity gauge). I put the other two in my humidor to rehumidify. I don't know if being in the metal pocket case kept the humidity out, but something did. Now my only two cigar purchase became very costly.

A pleasure to smoke and enjoy

I love Partagas, but really love this cigar, since it was made in the late 90's I have bought them when I find them. Easy draw, excellent flavor, also a pleasure to have with a select drink of choice!

Cigar sample Partagas i could have sworn on a stack of bibles was 12$ so i orderd 2 bring my total to 24$ for this particular order. Lord behold went to checkout and my total had went to 40+$. Does this site make moves like that.

I bought this to sit on for awhile. The packaging is yop notch. If you are debating on buying this as a gift then do not hesitate! I can't speak to the flavors or quality of the cigars, as I said I plan on keeping them around for a bit before smoking them. I am thoroughly impressed with the tins and the box!

I bought a couple as gifts, and once received, immediately bought a couple more. Very well constructed, the cigar carrier itself is made of tin, but strong enough for its job. Cigars were in great shape, and judging by the yellowing of the cellophane, have been "aging" awhile.

Arrived dried out

Got this set when it went on sale. They are still very hard and dry. Haven't even attempted to smoke them because I'm trying to revive them a little. All other cigars from JR have been superb, but these for some reason are not.

Partagas Decadas 1998: DON"T BUY

I do not think the Decadas 1998 Gift Set had been properly stored. The sticks were hard as rocks and the wrapper was begining to come apart. I have put them into my humidor for some long time rehab to see if they can be revived. I do not recommend.
