Won these in an auction good yard work smoke smoked 3 so far. Good flavor not complex. For $1.10 per stick they are a bargain.

Not a bad stick but by no means a great one. Construction was fairly mediocre but I definitely didn't have any of the draw issues that many others have noted here. Flavor is unremarkable but I'd say more in the mellow-to-medium area. A bit peppery and earthy. I'd say these are priced at roughly what they're worth -- if you paid $3-4 per stick you'd be unhappy but for $1+ it's pretty good.

These arrived about a week ago another JR Daily auction 'grab'. I'm not crazy about the new bands I thought the old white bands gave the cigars a touch of 'class'. Any way these cigars need about a month of humidor time to age since I have plenty of hand I'll have to wait to review these. I don't anticipate any changes from my last review.

This a SHORT FILLER Cigar. I cut it careful but was spitting out bits of filler on every puff. The wrapper on several were veiny and coarse like sandpaper. The draw was OK but the taste didn't get complex util 1/2 way through. It had a peppery note but not unique enough to leave me impressed or satisfied. Will go for the JR Alternatives and not re-order the Casa again

Better than some 'so called' premium cigars on the mkt. Great flavor & burn lots of smoke. The mads are occasionally 'gritty' on the tip. I would give the 'edge' to the natural wrapper but both are excellent cigars for the $ or not.

I thought I had ordered the Natural CDG again but I found that I had ordered the Madura's. But I'm glad I did. The taste is outstanding. No throat burn like I've had with some other Maduro brands. The draw is a little bit tight but I've found that spiking instead of cutting this cigar reduces that. Overall a quality cigar for the price. I'll come back to CDG Maduro's again.

When these first came out they were consistently excellent not only for the price but in their own right as a cigar. They haven't been quite as good lately. As many have noted the draw is somewhat tight. Not only does this take much of the relaxation out of the smoke but it also tends to interfere with the taste diminishing the amount of smoke entering the mouth while heating the cigar up a bit too much. It's not so bad as to be a deal-breaker but just a little extra quality control at the factory and this cigar could return to where it was before. Before the cigar boom when I was a new cigar smoker I used to smoke mostly Arturo Fuente Privada #1 which I bought from a JR outlet at about $35.00/box tax included. Those days are gone for good so over the years I've looked for substitutes mostly in vain. Then I found Casa de Garcia which isn't quite as much enjoyment as a Fuente and Ashton or an RyJ but about 75% of the enjoyment when their at their best for a tiny fraction of the price. I'll take it.

I must correct the reviewer who said these are short filler. They are NOT they are long filler. Draw has much improved over the last couple years and most of them now smoke very nicely with a firm draw cool smoke and a nice flavor. The best deal in all of JR's lineup.

Casa de Garcia Maduro
Corona 5.50 × 44 GAC3
This corona, packaged in a bundle of 20, is perfect for the mellow smoker who is looking for something quick. Its blend of aged tobaccos from Honduras and the Dominican makes it light and smooth. It then uses a dark Maduro wrapper, which gives it that bold, rich taste and a hint of espresso. If you’re looking for something fast, robust, and delicious…this corona is the one for you.
