Gordo The medium-full bodied flavor is as described, including the unique nuance of orange zest. Whether from the “proprietary AJF Hybrid Rojita” wrapper or an infusion, is anybody's guess (though I strongly suspect the latter). Great, box-pressed construction, with minor inconsistencies in the draw & burn. Firm & tight, white ash. The dark brown & oily, Brazilian Matafina Maduro (as described by AJF) wrapper is smooth, with scattered toothiness, and expertly finished. When initially smoked fresh, the flavor was unbalanced and grew increasingly bitter. (Such bitterness is typical with citrus infusions.) However, 10+ months of aging, @ 65%RH/69°F, really balanced & enhanced the flavor and minimized the bitterness. 4 5 1
Gordo This is by far one of AJF's best sticks. Silky, oily wrapper, great flavor and draw. Good mouth feel as it's box pressed. You won't be disappointed! 5 5 1
