El Diablo in cigar format
rmill3r on 12/10/14
Tatuaje has a laundry list of cigar products and it can sometimes be a chore just trying to sift through them all to figure out which one works best for you. Here's what you need to know about Fausto: spicy, hot, and kick-your-ass strength. Based on the German Legend of the deal made with the devil, this cigar is appropriately strong and spicy, but in all of the right ways. Many have compared it to a smaller (and maybe less good) version of the JV-13 from the Monster Series, but one thing is for sure, it hits you hard and fast. Do not smoke on empty stomach, but also do not be afraid of this devil even if you're not a fan of hot and spicy cigars. I tend to not be a fan of them, but this one is in my personal exceptions list.

The Fausto is a delicious cigar that doesn't seem to get the same love as the other Pete J. Blends. If you love Tatuaje and you haven't tried this I suggest you do. There is a zest to the Fausto that is done perfect and packs a lot of punch
Rough start, turned good after an inch

The first inch scared me, it was bitter and harsh, I haven't had a tat that wasn't great, however, it definitely came I to its own, great nurn, solid ash, and notes of cedar leather with a slight salt, it was an odd combo of flavors, but came together quite well.

This cigar is a powerhouse. It's full bodied and peppery with enough ligero to make you think twice about smoking it on anything other than a full stomach. All in all, it's a great smoke that doesn't sacrifice complexity for strength, but balances both.
Under the Radar

Fausto has a beautiful wrapper with an oily sheen and notes of cocoa, leather, earth, cream, and cedar which sounds like an odd array of flavors but it just works in this blend. This tat is often overlooked by those not in the know
