Handmade in Honduras with a smooth Nicaraguan binder, a flavorful blend of aged Nicaraguan and Honduran long fillers, and a black and oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Saint Luis Rey Serie GChurchill offers bold flavors of earth, leather, dark chocolate and espresso with a nice spicy twist. Complex and full-bodied, these very satisfying Cuban style smokes are presented in our reasonably priced 5-pack selection.

Masterpiece

killian6pack on 05/04/15

This is my idea of what a great cigar should be. It is perfectly constructed. To top it all off I can get 9 holes out of it and sometimes a few more. What else could you want in this world, golf and great cigar.

Disappointed

TomH on 10/03/15

Given the previous reviews, I was looking forward to trying this cigar as an alternative to the LaGloria Cubana Serie R I usually get. The price was right but the performance was disappointing. Poor burn, uneven taste, questionable construction and overall an OK cigar. Staying with my old brand.

This is my favorite smoke under $20. Amazing bold spicy flavors, outstanding draw and construction, razor sharp burn, and not at all overpriced. Outstanding cigar

Go To Cigar

Great, long lasting smoke, with full flavor and smoothness. This is an upgrade from my usual Saint Luis Rey and milder start reaching full half way through.

My review and opinion

DjLouielou on 12/06/16

After smoking CAO's for years, I came across Saint Luis Serie G 7x58 and found that it's way better than CAO. The only this is the price of this cigar went up in price.. I remember paying $120 plus dollars.. I treated myself and paid $205 for this cigar, but I'm not looking to pay that much again.. I hope they go back down on price, if not I'll be waiting for Cuba to open their doors..

Not for me

Pawlusia on 10/26/16

Not a fan, was definitely disappointed after reading the reviews. Had a hard time keeping it lit and the smoke was a harsh one

A little spice cream and chocolate on the first 1/3 chocolate and sweet fruit the second 1/3 ends with creamy maduro and smooth smoke great draw construction and taste. This is my favorite over the SLR and gen brands just a fat beautiful stick

Great smoke

Acarroll on 11/10/15

I personally think the smaller sizes of this cigar are much better. With the Churchill I have to puff 2 or 3 times to get any smoke every time unless I'm puffing every 15 or so seconds. Also a very large to ring gauge for a Churchill, which I didn't realize until after makinf my order. That being said, I love the flavors - peppery with a lot of creamy coffee and deep earth. This also takes a long time to smoke - upwards of an hour and a half to two hours. I would still highly recommend it if none of what I have just said turns you off.

Maduro: Saint Luis Rey Serie G

steveholzer on 10/25/15

Was not that impressed by this cigar. Found it difficult to keep lit, was like drawing through a hollow pipe and wasn't fond of its flavor.

A hard one to top.

Trapper on 04/24/17

The series G was the most incredible piece of art I have smoked in a while. The draw was easy and lots of smoke. Never had to relight because it had the perfect slow burn. The ash stayed consistent the whole length. The cigar stayed solid and stayed together to the sweet end. Mild taste never over powering but lots of lingering smiles .

Worth a try

I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice flavor and draw. Last 2 hours and very even burn. I would consider flull but on the lower end of full.

Worth a try

Bought the 7x58. Beautiful wrapper, dark and oily. Flavor was woody with a hint of coffee. It's more med-full to full flavor.

Great Cigar

killian6pk on 12/10/15

This is the best cigar I have ever smoked. I have tried plenty of the name brands. None of those compares to the SLR Series G. I have had none of the problems of other reviewers. This cigar burns true and draws as good as any other large ring guage cigar.
