This Rothschild-size maduro has a very nice looking Mexican wrapper with no veins, and a very oily feel. Under the cover, this little fireplug is crammed with tobacco, yet it draws perfectly. The Riata No.700 Maduro comes packaged in a bundle of 20 with no frills, just solid earthy medium-bodied flavor at an affordable price.

Rita 700 maduro

Hula Puro on 06/11/15

Great smoke. Just needed some time in my humidor to straighten up. Now this is my everyday stick. Bit or outta not without its faults. The draw can be inconsistent. And the cap is too tight at times. But when that's not the case. You'll experience 45 minutes to an hour of heaven.

Old favorite

I been smoking these for decades, but like everything the prices keeps going up, and my values don't keep up. So I've switched to Casa de Garcia Reds. Too bad they don't have a maduro. Never figured out why the Riata 800 wasn't just a longer 700. Always felt much softer too airy?

Good buy-good smoke

Well constructed, good draw and great price point. I was able to buy these on auction to try and I'm not disappointed. I will order these again, nice wrapper and the burn is pretty even.

Worth the money

Rich B on 10/27/15

This cigar is worth the coin, especially if you happen to get them on sale. Their flavor is a matter of taste. I like it, but there are other budget cigars I prefer, flavor-wise, but that's because I happen to like a classic Dominican cigar, and this isn't that. But it's quite nice for what it is, and you like the classic profile of this blend, then you'll like this cigar. One thing I can say is that it's VERY nicely constructed. Don't worry about not being able to draw on it, nor about uneven burn, tunneling, canoeing, or anything else. This is a nicely made cigar. The wrapper is beautiful to behold. It has a nice oily sheen and feel, and it does taste very nice. I'd describe it as slightly sweet, slightly mineral (like a Chilean wine). It has a pretty stout nicotine punch to it, too. If you're looking for a cigar to wake you up in the afternoon when you're getting drowsy, this is a great choice. Sometimes tremendous bargains are to be had on this cigar. Don't hesitate.
