Rocky Patel The Edge
Missile · 5 × 48 RPEMT3
The Edge is available in two different wrappers—the robust and spicy Cuban-seed Corojo wrapper and the dark-chocolate-colored maduro—each nice and oily. Inside is a secret blend of ligero long-filler tobaccos that have been aged for five years, which gives both styles a full-flavored smoke with a smoothness that’s not often associated with fuller-bodied cigars. The plentiful smoke remains cool without any bitterness all the way down to the nub's nice long finish. It’s also a slow burner, so make sure you have plenty of time to fully enjoy this tasty smoke.

This cigar really shows what rocky Patel can do. It has a very oily wrapper and the cigar burns very evenly. The flavor profile was similar to most maduros. Very smooth and even a little sweet while making thick smoke.
I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of most of Rocky's offerings. I gave this one a shot because people generally have good things to say about the Edge. The one I smoke tasted ashy from first puff to final draw, and I honestly wouldn't smoke it again.

A bold, well-balanced flavor profile. These are available in two different wrappers: a spicy, mucho-robust Corojo leaf or a super-rich maduro that’s dark and glistening with oils. Refined strength combines with a full-bodied flavor profile, which offers up plenty of spice and complexity.

You can not go wrong with this cigar! I have quite a few of them in my humidor at all times! If you have not gotten the chance to try this cigar from Rocky Patel then just go get one right now and light it up you won't regret it j promise!!!
Very good. One of my favorites

First of all let me say that Rocky Patel cigars are by far my favorite. This one has a great flavor and is on the high end of medium maybe on the low end of full. The smoke lasted quite a while. I would recommend this one to anyone that likes a medium full cigar.
It had me on the edge...

Not a fan of RP, but thick gar does live up to the hype. It's consistent, has solid construction and a perfect burn. The flavor leaves me wanting more. I would rather have a FDLA from my father.
Powerful and tasty

Nice cigar and something that is good to have on hand. There is some power in this cigar, so have some sugar on hand if you get the nicotine shakes. The box is different from any other you have with its shape and rough cut.
A nice smoke

The edge is a pretty decent smoke. Prelight draw has a nice tobacco flavor with some leather undertones and a bit of nutty profile. First third: lights up nicely and has a bit of a white pepper on the draw at first. Nice smoke. Smooth but not fully creamy. Second third: strength kicks up a bit and the nutiness begins to pick up a bit. Has a little bit of a coffee profile at the back end of a draw. Overall pretty pleasant. Final third: finishes nicely. A bit more of the same. Heats up a bit too much for me to nub it usually but that may just be my puffing being too rapid. Overall a decent smoke. Worth picking up a few at the right price. An enjoyable experience.

Pleasantly surprised by the edge line. Good medium smoke that is not so expensive you don't want to give to friends that aren't heavy smokers. Great at summer parties and for long walks. Definitely worth a try.

after of years of smoking different sticks looking for that everyday smoke I settled on this as my first mainstays. You'll always find an edge in one of humidor. For me it's pure joy and has never disappointed. Plenty of flavor from leather to spice with full bodied punch.

I like this cigar but I do not smoke very often and there are some other things that I would rather smoke but that is just me everyone is different and looking for there own favorite defiantly worth a try and the price isn't bad
I'm on the edge...
Stalemunchies on 06/15/15
This was a good cigar however between the few I smoked they weren't terribly consistent. The draw was a bit on the loose side so it made it hard to get a good draw on it but it had some decent flavors. I would smoke this again though.
Quality control = 5 stars

Rocky Patel has one of the strictest quality control rooms in the cigar industry, only boxing ~50% of the cigars they construct as premiums and making the rest factory selects or 2nds. Excellent cigar, Rocky Patel can never fail to impress.

If I had to describe the RP Edge in one word, it would undoubtably be "smooth". There is not a single part of this cigar that is not smooth, the draw, the seams, the wrapper, the flavor; it is all incredibly smooth and perfect in every way

This is one of the strongest cigars I have ever smoked. It is very full flavored with wood and pepper, also there is some sweetness but not too much. I paid 5 dollars and consider it a good deal. It gave me quite a buzz, usually most don't
Sunday Morning Pick Me Up
mben342 on 07/20/15
With a bad ass name like The Edge Missle it better be a bad ass cigar. Well folks, it is. Smooth, rich coffee and spiced tobacco flavors are tasted with a beautiful draw. This is a great Sunday morning smoke to be enjoyed with a cappuccino.
To the Edge and Back!

As with all rocky patels you can't go wrong. It's flavorful, tasty and a bang for your back. Especially the edge it's the more affordable line from rocky Patel and from the flavor you would think it was his higher end blend definitely needs a place in the humidor
great smoke. a bit strong for my normal smoke though
vernon351 on 07/21/15
A bit strong then I was expecting.... I loved the smoke overall, flavor was nice an consistent, burned great..... but kinda sent me to the chair for a bit after wards.... I'm more of a mild/medium smoke.
Not bad for the $$$
Itsthenoff on 07/22/15
How to describe the edge maduro? A full body, consistent cigar full of tobacco, earth, and black pepper. Loose loose draw, big plumes of smoke. A great beginner's maduro. Not a bad alternative to the more expensive RP cigars.
very nice cigar
I tried Rocky Patel's Edge for the first time a couple of months ago and I must say these cigars are the best that I have smoked, I prefer the light and I am extremely happy with the flavor of these cigars at a very reasonable price
