Double Maduro NOT Oscuro
Alan on 07/23/15
I've never smoked a Punch that didn't have a smooth draw, an enjoyable flavor and impeccable construction. Consistency is their middle name. That being said, I really enjoy most Maduro cigars and especially Punch Maduro cigars. When I saw Punch After Dinner cigars advertised with an Oscuro wrapper I thought I'd try a box. It seems that it's actually a Double Maduro (Maduro wrapper and Maduro binder) not an Oscuro (pitch black wrapper) . Still a great cigar, what Punch isn't, but I'm disappointed I didn't get to try Punch with an Oscuro wrapper.

The after dinner was a great cigar. Good wrapper, good taste, and very easy to smoke. The draw was smooth and even and easy. The only downfall would be that it was a bit loose and burned a little too quick. The flavors were soft and elegant. It sucked

This was a great stick everything from the excellent construction, the long burn time (2 hrs), all of the flavors Of earthy leather at the start, to sweet citrus in the middle and an awesome finish. Highly recommend this stick.
Punch After Dinner Review
Fuentes 8-5-8 on 04/15/16
This is a medium bodied cigar. It is very well balanced and rich in flavors. Obviously wonderful after a heavy meal to compliment a wonderful night out or in for that matter. Punch has been around for many years - never a disappointment.
Great until a bitter turn

This is a good value for the money. Nice flavors come out after a slow start. Long burn time. I found after about half way through the flavors got a little bitter so I set it down. I never tried it again.

The draw was okay a little bit tight but okay. The consistency of the cigar well it did not burn very evenly. Had to re-light it once. It had a nice wrapper on it but had some small cracks in it. The flavor of the cigar was very nice, smoke was smooth.

The Name Says It All

The fact that the name is "After Dinner" lets you know the perfect time to smoke this beauty. It's a medium bodied smoke is the perfect length to enjoy relaxing moments after dinner with friends. I always keep at least two of these in my humidor. One for me and one for a friend.
Good smoke for the price.

Talk about the never ending cigar. This is the big boy of them all. Well made. Its hard to draw through at first, but gets better as it gets shorter. Flavor and consistency stay close, but not exact from start to finish. All in all a good smoke for the buy.
Nice cigar after grilling your favorite steak.

I paired this cigar with a dram of Johnnie Walker green label. After grilling my new York strip to perfection I enjoyed this cigar quite a bit. Starting out with a blast of pepper, it transitioned into notes of vanilla, leather, and barnyard. This is a medium bodied cigar for those with at least an hour on their hands. It does not disappoint. Definitely worth a box purchase, and goes well with a nice sherried single malt.
Wonderful "starter" cigar

These are great intro cigars. Punches are maybe the most reasonably priced of the established "name brand" cigar lines, and they have an almost universal appeal. They are mild-medium, with a tasty, classic flavor. This size has always seemed especially sophisticated to me; it's the sort of cigar one imagines Edwardians smoking in drawing rooms while sipping brandy.

Smooth with some spiciness, a thiscigar will fit everyone's palate. The smoke starts with hints of cedar and chocolate. The construction of the cigar is tight and the smoke smell is excellent. The end is hints of pepper . A good smoke.
Can't go wrong with a Punch!
Maverick59 on 01/08/16
Long and slender and delicious. Never have met a Punch I didn't like. Not as potent as a Signature and maybe not as complex as a Rare Corojo but it's right there. Good draw and ash and solid consistent construction. Medium strength and a mix of a touch of spice towards the end with some coffee and leather and cocoa with a bit of cream...a nice cigar!!!
Flavor took a Leftist turn

Punch is a Cuban heritage cigar brought to us legally. Well somewhere in there this large cigar lost a little something. The flavor is off quite a bit. I love Punch cigars. Just not this one.

Not a morning cigar for me but after about 3 in the afternoon you can't go wrong with this! Strong smooth flavors that won't disapoint and will keep your enjoyment up. A bit more gage would help this to smoke cooler. Build is good and holds up very well to a nervuous wet bite. For me this smokes better with a punch cutter.
